From our house is a short walk to walking trails including an old growth Cedar grove and Little Qualicum Falls. Beachfront is a short 3-4 minute drive from our home and downtown Qualicum Beach is a short 8 kms drive from our home. Within a thirty-minute drive you have access to seven provincial parks and a variety of outdoor recreational activities including: hiking, fishing, golfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, beachcombing, windsurfing, coastal wildlife viewing and guided tours, and access to spectacular sandy beaches.

The space
Our home is a beautiful fully furnished and highly functional 2700 sq foot custom built home on 4.2 acres with tall windows and sky lights to allow for a panoramic view of our tall trees and surrounding nature. We feel very fortunate to wake up every morning in a quiet peaceful paradise and to live in harmony with nature.
Some of the key features of our home include large Douglas Fir beams at entrance, back patio and fireplace mantel, heat pump with air conditioning. The main floor has a large great room with floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace covered in Pangea Westcoast Castle Stone, dining room with doors to outside patio looking onto a 50' pond-less water feature, large kitchen with an Island and quartz counter tops, chef's pantry and a mud/laundry room off of kitchen. Main level has three bedrooms: master bedroom with king bed, sliding door to ensuite bathroom with heated floors, walk-in steam shower, soaker tub, double sink vanity and walk-in closet, two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two XL single beds. Fourth bedroom in upstairs bonus room with 2 piece bathroom, Queen bed, large TV and exercise equipment.
Guest access
All of the main level flooring, including the steam shower, is uniform with no trim or transition lips and the entrance doors to all of the rooms are wide for easy access. The 4th bedroom is located on the 2nd level and has wide stairs and carpeted flooring.
Access to home: A lock box with house key available upon arrival.
Notes
A Home Stay Guide Book is available upon arrival and contains important information such as: wifi password, step-by-step on how to operate the generator in the event of a power outage, curbside organics and waste pick-up schedule, etc.

Our neighborhood is close to beaches, the ocean, nature walks, hiking trails, good restaurants, and unique shopping including a Farmer's Market every Saturday in downtown Qualicum Beach with sales of fresh farm products, and plenty of local artisan creations.
Getting to my home
There are 2 airports located less than an hour away from our home: Nanaimo Airport (YCD) and Comox Valley Airport (YQQ). The use of a personal vehicle is possible with the home exchange.
