A Boho style cottage in Denmark with a peek view of the fjord. 1 hr to Copenhagen. The world traveler in you deserves a rest in nature here. A Danish Hygge Experience! Walking down to the fjord takes only a few minutes and is available via community path. The community has a little beach and a long bathing pier (seasonal) out into the fjord for classic nordic bathing/swimming.
The space
The main bedroom has a large, adjustable double (king size) bed with remote control to raise and lower it with a TV on the wall with apple TV.
The second bedroom has a conversion double bed/single bed and a dedicated work space with a peek view to the fjord.
The living room has a sectional couch that can be made into an easy double bed and a large TV with apple tv, netflix, hbo +, Disney +. A library with books on world cultures - kids books too!
A funky, tiki style woodstove rounds out the BoHo world traveler vibe here.
We are homeschoolers / worldschoolers and we welcome you! For the kids or the kid in you: Toys and board games! Outdoor games! Let me know the age of your kids and I can add hands on learning materials as I am a trained Montessorian.

Neighbourhood
There is an ancient stone burial viking ship up on a hill nearby for a close walking adventure and a kayak and canoe rental place is right at the water. A soccer golf recreational complex is a few kilometers away. Grocery store delivery to the door available through Rema 1000 and Nemlig.com.
Denmark's most beautiful beaches are within reach, as are the relaxed theme park and water park called Sommerland Sjælland, but beware some of the rides are human powered and you start some of them yourself! A unique experience! We can also tell you how to get to the secret "Hamlets grave" near there.
Nearby the old town of Holbæk has half timbered houses on crooked streets that guide you downhill to overlook the scenic harborside area filled with old wooden tall ships. The town is full of excellent eateries and outdoor cafes, like the new super reggae fun "Gl Havn Streetfood Holbæk". For a full immersion experience into 1600-1900's era Denmark head over to Nyvang historical reenactment town.
If you want to immerse yourself even further back in history check out the "Land of Legends" Sagnlandet in Lejre on the way to Roskilde. Get your Viking on there in a viking village that still has its inhabitants who will give you lessons in sword fighting, fire building, stone flour grinding, and dugout canoe paddling. You may even stumble further back in time to a Stone Age camp and trade and share food with its people.
The Viking ship museum in Roskilde is not to be missed with an unforgettable experience of sailing a replica viking ship!
We challenge you to find the 7 "Forgotten Giants" on the way to Copenhagen, with one who decided to go fishing near Roskilde :)
Nicely accessible to the sights of Copenhagen in 1 hour, including the Little Mermaid, Tivoli, Design museum and Nyhavn harbor.
