General overview

We live in a lovely suburb of Coleraine, and our house is in the bottom of a quiet culdesac. It’s a warm and welcoming bungalow with a private back garden. It’s family & dog friendly with plenty of kids toys. We run an outdoor adventure business and so we have plenty of equipment (paddle boards, canoes, wetsuits etc) that we would be happy to discuss letting our guests use if they know how :)

The space

Our living space has a log burner, books, toys, and a large smart tv. Our kitchen is kitted out with everything you would like to use. You’re welcome to use spices/what ever dry foods are in the dry store. Bear in mind our house is a lived in home, not an air bnb. We have a small fridge in kitchen and a large fridge freezer in garage along with our washer. We have 2 double bedrooms and a single floor bed which is perfect for kids or an adult that doesn’t mind sleeping close to the floor. There is a main bathroom with toilet, bath and shower, and a second toilet room. Our garden is fully enclosed and we have a dog flap so dogs are more than welcome to come stay. The garden has a large BBQ and seating. In winter months these are stored away but in the warmer months please feel free to use!

Guest access

This is a bungalow with a front or back entrance. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. It is a 3 bed house but can sleep 5/6 people.

Neighbourhood

Our neighbourhood is a lovely suburb of the local town Coleraine. We have a beautiful forest walk 5 minutes walk from our house and two Spar shops (one within walking distance). The town of Coleraine is well set up with everything you could need. Large grocery shops, cinema, entertainment, restaurants and plenty of top notch coffee shops and retail shops. We live 10/15 minutes from the beautiful seaside towns of Portstewart, Portrush and Castlerock. All of which are fantastic tourist beach towns with amazing surfing and lovely vibes. We are also 15 minutes from the Famous Giants Causeway in Bushmills, 30 minutes from Carrick a rede rope bridge and plenty of other spectacular landmarks which make the north coast the amazing spot that it is!

Getting to my home

It is best to have a car but you can get a train to Coleraine and then from the train station you can get a bus to our suburb of Mountsandel. Happy to discuss this with any swappers and also potential car swaps too.

Nearest airport

Belfast city or Belfast international are both about 40-50 minutes away and you can get trains or buses to Coleraine from these.

Getting around

A car would be good to use to get around in order to see all the beautiful Sights which are so close to us. We highly recommend going to White Rocks beach for a sunset, or Dunluce castle just at the top of the hill. We live so close to so many amazing beaches, feel free to ask us for recommendations. We are 50 minutes from the lovely city of Belfast which is absolutely worth a visit too!
