General overview
This popular beach town of Port Dover offers a gorgeous beach, pier, local shops, live theater and fresh seafood restaurants. It's also close to golf, local breweries, wineries and fruit and vegetable markets within Norfolk County.
My unique home is only a 10 minute leisurely stroll to this fun touristy community. The house is situated on the water along a private enclave which is quiet. Enjoy the view of the boats passing by from one of the four patios. On Sunday evenings there is free music in the park all summer long. And on Monday nights there are over 200 fancy cars on show to peruse.
Port Dover is less that 90 minutes from Niagara Falls, a world attraction, and the quaint historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, which is renowned for its breweries, wineries and the US border.
Continue along the lakeshore for half an hour and you will find Long Point, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering eco tours and adventures. Also visit Long Point Provincial Park or Turkey Point Provincial Park for more beaches, boating, fishing and hiking activities. The area abounds with fantastic hiking trails
Toronto sightseeing includes historic sites, aquarium, CN Tower, Canada’s Wonderland, Toronto Zoo, distillery district, Queen’s Quai, garment district, St Lawrence market, Toronto Harbour and Island, Toronto beaches and boardwalk, various baseball, soccer, basketball and hockey venues, concerts, live theaters, entertainment district and restaurants serving foods of the world, The drive is approximately 2 hours to downtown Toronto by car from Port Dover.

I stayed at Laurie’s home in Port Dover, Ontario as a Hospitality guest and had a fantastic experience. Laurie was not only a lovely person but also a wonderful hostess. She made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of my stay was the huge breakfast that Laurie served and the delicious dinner. I truly felt pampered. Additionally, Laurie organized a lovely walk to the Port Dover beach area and marina which was a great way to explore the town and learn the history, as well as see the numerous shops and restaurants along with a local theatre. We also had the opportunity to participate in an exercise class. Laurie also drove around the town to showcase some stunning viewpoints along Lake Erie. There is so much more coastline and quaint towns, wineries and breweries along the way that I will have to wait for another visit!
The accommodation itself was perfect. I had a private and clean guestroom with its own ensuite bathroom, which provided the right amount of privacy and convenience. The room also had a private deck
Lastly, I have to mention the views from Laurie’s home from the numerous decks overlooking the river which added to the overall charm of her cozy place. Watching boats, kayaks and paddle boarders pass by was lovely.
I highly recommend Laurie’s home and area for anyone wanting to visit the tourist town of Port Dover in Norfolk County as well as the Niagara Region.
Laurie stayed in our apartment in the summer with a friend and she was a total pleasure to deal with! She was just charming when there was a glitch to deal with and exhibited lovely grace under pressure! Communication was easy, she left the flat in a pristine condition and we can highly recommend her as a guest! Rebecca and Rob
I had the sincere pleasure of hosting Anne-Marie recently at my home for a hospitality stay.
Anne-Marie is an extremely nice lady and her company was most enjoyable.
She is outgoing, interesting, helpful, clean, respectful and keen to talk all things "Travel."
And she even brought her own travel sleeping gear so as not to soil my bedding!
We enjoyed several pleasant days seeing some of the sights.
Should you ever have the opportunity to host or have Anne-Marie mind your house while you are away, I would definitely recommend her!
I had a lovely stay at Rob and Vanessa’s luxury flat in Antibes. It is very well located for seeing all the sites in Antibes. It is 20 minutes tops to the rail and bus stations.
A very beautiful home and location. I would highly recommend an exchange.

I’m looking to travel to Europe, Australia or New Zealand, Africa, and I’m also open to other locations that have warm climates during the winter months.
I am retired and flexible. I love to travel and see the world and all it had to offer.
