We love the parents retreat upstairs and eating breakfast on the balcony, or having a quiet glass of wine in the evening.
The space
My home is a fully renovated 1913 Victorian style home, with a large kitchen and living area. High ceilings throughout the house gives it a light and open feeling.
The master bedroom is separate from the other bedrooms and is located upstairs, above the living area. It has a king size bed with remote control head and feet tilt as well as a luxury massage chair in the room. It is a light and bright room with a cathedral style ceiling. The ensuite connected to the master bedroom has a large shower and double hand basin.
The second bedroom (located on the ground floor) has a comfortable Queen sized bed, Apple TV, gas fireplace, very large cupboard space and French doors leading to the side of the home. It also has a bright modern ensuite with lots of natural light from the skylight.
The third bedroom also has a lovely Queen sized bed and has the original wood fireplace in good working order and double hung glass windows facing south towards the street front.
The forth bedroom is lined with books and doubles as a library with a large skylight making the room a bright and cozy room to relax in. It is equiped with a fold out double bed.
The fifth bedroom, which belongs to my son, will not be available and the door to this room will be locked.
A main bathroom with a shower over the bath, and is located in a central position of the ground floor of the home.
The kitchen includes SMEG oven, stove top, kettle and toaster. It also includes a microwave, air fryer and dishwasher.
A European laundry has a Miele 9kg washing machine and Bosch dryer. The granite kitchen bench is over 4metres long and gives plenty of space for meal preparation as well as being used as a breakfast bar.
In the open plan living area we have a 10 seat dining table and a large lounge suite. As well as a reading nook with 2 high backed single chairs.
The back doors are glass sliding doors that open the living area up to the back yard which features a beautiful Elm tree that is over 100 years old. A seat has been constructed around the Elm tree and a BBQ is also located close by. Through a glass gate you will find the heated swimming pool.
Upstairs has a second (much smaller) kitchen and sitting area, with Apple TV. This area then leads to the master bedroom and also to a private deck. This area gives a view over the yard and swimming pool towards the north as well as a lovely view over Geelong to the South. It is a very private area with dining table and chairs, an outdoor lounge as well as an egg shaped hanging chair. It is a great place to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun.
Guest access
Our home is a two story house with a key code security door at the front. The ground level has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and open plan kitchen/living room. Upstairs has a smaller kitchen, living area, master bedroom, bathroom and balcony.

Hi, I am a semi retired exercise scientist and live with my partner, a retired gym owner. We will mostly be traveling together but may occasionally have some adult family members join us. We love adventure and the outdoors and look forward to exploring the UK and Europe.
