Beautiful home next to two parks! Enjoy a peaceful setting and safe neighborhood. Two bedrooms and office upstairs and bachelor style suite downstairs. Comfortably sleeps 5-8 if using pull-out couch downstairs. Office can also be used for sleeping if need be as we have an extra mattress on the child’s room bed.
Renovated kitchen with open concept dining /living room, great for entertaining and huge island for cooking.
Lovely deck off dining room with double French doors and easy access to BBQ. We also have a functional wood-burning fireplace which is great in the winter for some relaxing ambiance! We always have some wood out back!
Lots of yard to relax under the apple trees and enjoy the mature shrubs and flowers, overlooking the park next door. Prime real estate in one of the best areas of Victoria! We have a hammock for summer and a little veggie garden. The yard borders a park, so there are soccer fields and a playground beside our house.
We are both working professionals who take pride in and great care of our home and are sure you will find it comfortable and a great place to relax after seeing all the amazing places in the Victoria area.

Neighbourhood
This is a residential neighborhood, but we are very centrally located in Victoria. We live right next to a park and Elementary school, so there is a lot of space and playgrounds nearby if you are traveling with younger kids! Please see the description below about proximity to other locations. Thanks!
Nearest airport
Victoria International Airport is about a 30-minute drive.
Getting around
You can walk to the local grocery store, the Root Cellar, which is a 5-minute walk just down the road. We are about a 10-15 minute walk in either direction to three other commercial complexes where you will find other grocery stores, pharmacies, beer and wine stores, cannabis (yes marijuana stores!), coffee shops, and restaurants.
We are a 15-minute drive to downtown Victoria, or about a $20 (CAD) taxi ride if you want to hit the town. Downtown is beautiful, you can walk the inner harbor, check out the Parliament buildings (extra pretty at night), take horse carriage tours, whale watching tours, the BC Museum, lots of shopping, and amazing restaurants.
If you like sports, the University of Victoria is a 10-minute bike ride up the road and often has live soccer and basketball games, among other things! We are also very close to the Lochside Trail, which connects to the Galloping Goose Regional Trail, which is a fantastic bike and pedestrian trail. If you bike from our house on these trails, it takes about 25-30 minutes to downtown Victoria and is relatively flat. It takes you over the Gorge Bridge. The Gorge is a popular place for kayaking or paddle boarding, as well as floating hot tub rides!
We live about a 5-7 min drive from our house to Cadboro Beach, which has some amazing sand and a massive playground with Ogogpogo monster and whale structures to climb! Kids LOVE this park - it also has a zipline-style ride. We love going here in the spring to fall months.
Cadboro Bay is gorgeous and has calm shallow water, albeit COLD water most of the year, it's great on a hot day, especially after the tide comes in and the warm sand helps heat the water!
We also love Willows Beach and Gonzales Beach in town, about a 15-20 minute drive each, respectively.
If you want to visit the famous Butchart Gardens, it is about a 20-minute drive to the Brentwood Bay area from our house.
We also like cruising Dallas Road and Cook Street Village. Dallas Road is a great place to walk your dog or watch the parasailers, as well as take in the stunning Olympic Mountain views. Cook Street village is a sort of trendy, hippy village, with some great ethnic foods, a fantastic pub (The Beagle), and other cool little shops. It's about a 15-minute drive from our house.
There is also no shortage of public swimming (indoor) pools and skating rinks fairly close. Gordon Head Rec centre is closest, about a 6-7 min drive but CommonWealth Pool is fun, with its wave pool and waterslide.
Victoria is a lovely small city.
If you haven't been, it was recently voted one of the best small cities in the world by Conde Nast magazine in 2023! Go Victoria!

Outgoing professional, friendly, and well-traveled wife and mom of one daughter and one dog. Love the outdoors, horses, skiing, camping, cycling, learning languages and experiencing new cultures! I have been an English teacher since 2001 and taught in Japan and Korea. I work at our local college and am a passionate educator. I also love to paint, most of the artwork downstairs is mine and I am also the author of a children's book, Murray the Dragon! :-) My husband Tom works from home as a fire alarm technician (well programmer for mostly TransLink and SkyTrain, BCRTC, in Vancouver) and is an avid runner. Our daughter is Aelyn, a very sweet girl, we think! We also have a rescue dog named Marlo, who is a Jindo mix from Korea. We try to bring him with us on local trips, but have trusted friends who can take him if traveling farther. Thanks for checking our profile!

We love our deck! Bbq to your hearts content right off the main kitchen! Open the double French doors for indoor outdoor dining! Evening sun, south west exposure.
Our back deck on a nice day! The French doors both open to create indoor and outdoor living vibes!
Downstairs "guest suite" - has pull out couch too (queen sized), a second work station/desk and TV.
The couch has adjustable back head rests and an electric recliner on the non-chaise side. (Button on the side). The orange foot stool doubles as a table when you flip it over and is currently filled with kids toys!
The upstairs office, can also double as a bedroom with a mattress from our daughter's bed or blow up.
The other side of the yard is more private, with tall hedge around, but we tend to use the open side more as it has a nice view of the park.
This part of the yard has a hammock spot and a small veggie garden, as well as a Ninjaline (monkey bar hanging toy) for kids. We also love living next to the park and a pathway which you can take to get to the next road and closer to the local Root Cellar, grocery store.
Upstairs kid's bedroom. Also has a dresser, and closet with toy racks. The bed has an extra mattress on top for sleepovers or can be used on the floor in the office as a third bedroom upstairs. We also have a queen-sized high-quality blow-up mattress with a foam layer that also fits in the office.
The downstairs bathroom has a stand-up glass shower. This used to be the laundry room!
These are stairs from downstairs to the back door. The downstairs suite can be quite private, but the laundry is down here, so it is not self-contained.
We have a Bluetooth enabled spin bike!
Downstairs kitchen has a fridge, hot plate, toaster, kettle, microwave and basic plates dishes cutlery, etc.
Home gym in garage. Weights, TRX mat punching bag and spin bike.
Master bedroom upstairs
Dining room table- we have two leafs for it under our master bed. There are two chairs downstairs, and extra one in the office, and we have other folding chairs in the garage. It can seat 8 comfortably with the leafs in.
Side yard that borders one park! There’s another park also across the street! Enjoy the swing or Ninja line monkey bars or relax in a hammock under the apple trees! We get loads of apples in the summer!
Upstairs bathroom is updates slightly but was in great shape so we left most of it! (Minus the hideous walllpaper and light fixture!) one day we hope to remodel but it’s just a matter of taste as it’s definitely got that mid-century vibe! The house was built in 1958.
View from the master bedroom upstairs
Overlooking the school fields (Feb 2024). It’s a lot greener in n spring/summer but you get the idea!
Enjoy the hammock under the shade of the apple trees! Play on the swing or Ninja line monkey bars!
