Neighbourhood
Beaune is a cosmopolitan city with 2 million tourists each year, so it is easy to get by even if you do not speak french.
We decided to come and live in Beaune in 2019, after an international career and did not regret it a second since.
What we enjoy the most:
- walk from our house to taste French gastronomy and wine tasting,
- hike or bike in the gorgeous countryside of rolling green hills dotted with vineyards and medieval villages,
- visit the region's glorious architectural heritage that dates back to the romans (Dijon city museums, castles, medieval villages and monasteries...)
- relax in the nearby national parks
- discover Europe as we are: 3 hours from Paris and its Olympic Games, 2 hours from Switzerland, 3 hours from Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, the south of France or the Alps. All connected by train or good quality highways.
Getting to my home
Road or rail are best. We are connected to Paris or Geneva Airport

Bonjour! We are a French & Swiss family: Virginie, Frederic, Simon (15) and Mathilde (12). We are travellers, love sports, arts and like to open our eyes to new things and people. We have travelled twice in Australia and loved it!
We are hoping to exchange our charming home in the heart of Burgundy (France) for a house in Australia. Our idea is to have our kids join public school to improve their English. Our target dates are May/June to August 2024. By the way, Olympic games will take place at that time in Paris... just 3 hours away from our place.
To get a feeling for us and our home, you may read reviews of our B&B "Le 14 Faubourg" (9,8/10 on Booking - the B&B will of course not run during the swap):"so much character"; "close to everything";"so kind and helpful", "warm & generous host"
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
