General overview
A warm and welcoming little "beach bach" single story house, our home is perfect for single travelers or families alike. We have abundance of toys and Disney+ for the kids, a fully fenced yard with vibrant gardens, and a clutter-free space where you can enjoy a glass of wine on the deck and watch the sun set. A smoke-free, pet-free house, our home is filled with unique and beautiful artwork and a 100 year old German piano that you are welcome to play if you like!
The space
Our 860 square foot (80 square meter) single story home is the quintessential kiwi beach house - simple and tidy. We pride ourselves in keeping minimal clutter in our home, so despite the small size, you won't feel claustrophobic.
The front door leads into an open floor plan living room, dining area, and small but functional kitchen with everything you need. Down the hall, there are three bedrooms. The master has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen. The third bedroom is my office. You can choose to use this as a work space, or if you have many people in your party, I can turn this space into a third bedroom with a high end single blow up mattress. The bathroom is a split shower room / toilet in separate rooms.
Outside on the front deck, enjoy a glass of wine while you admire the sunset or enjoy the many birds, bees, and butterflies that frequent our large cottage style garden, which boasts colour year-round. We invite our guests to enjoy some food and herbs from our veggie garden.
We have an outdoor shower in the back for you to wash off the sand.

1 story home (3 stairs leading up to the front deck). Not wheelchair accessible.
Notes
We have close neighbours, so please adhere to the quiet hours between 9pm - 7am. You may play the piano, but only during non-quiet hours. No parties, no drugs. The driveway is under surveillance with a web cam.

Neighbourhood
We are 2 minutes away from the famous white sands of Papamoa Beach. 1 minute from Papamoa Plaza mall, two grocery stores, an Asian supermarket, and shopping in Fashion Island. Many cafes and restaurants are around, and I provide a document with suggestions on where to eat. Within a 20 minute drive, we have an abundance of things to do!!! Climb Mount Maunganui or go seal spotting around the base track, visit the sheep up Papamoa Hills, indulge yourself at one of the many pick-your-own berry farms (Dec-Feb only), soak in the famous salt water Mount Hot Pools. A short 45 minutes away, you can drink a pint at the Green Dragon at the Hobbiton / Shire movie set in Matamata, or soak your feet in the natural geothermal springs of Rotorua. There are also lots of cultural locations to visit to learn more about the history of the indigenous Maori people of Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Getting to my home
We are a 3 hour car ride (or 4 hour bus ride) from Auckland International Airport. There are connecting flights from Auckland Int'l Airport to Tauranga airport almost daily. Our home is 15 minutes from Tauranga Airport, from where you can call a taxi, an Uber, or the bus.
