Neighbourhood
*Grab a seat at Pelican Brewing Company and savor craft beers and pub grub with a killer view of Cape Kiwanda.
*Start your day right at Stimulus Coffee + Bakery, a chill spot for artisanal coffee and pastries, all with a Pacific backdrop.
*Craving comfort food? Grateful Bread Bakery and Restaurant has you covered, surrounded by coastal charm.
*Shorepine Village is where you can shop local surrounded by glimpses of the Pacific. And if you're into Mexican street food, Ben & Jeff's Taco's pairs tasty bites with ocean views.
*Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is where you'll find a towering sandstone cape with killer ocean views and a chill beach (where the beach photos in the listing were taken). It is essentially a giant sand hill that our kids insist in climbing to the top of every time we visit!
*Need more beach vibes? Haystack Rock (Pacific City Beach) is your spot for relaxing by the sea breeze.
*Bob Straub State Park is your go-to for a peaceful nature walk or birdwatching. *And for a unique peek into coastal ecosystems, Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge is a must-visit spot.
*30 minutes north you will find Tillamook, home to the famous Tillamook Creamery and a must if you have never been!
*Drive 30 minutes south and you will be in Lincoln City, where there are endless activities to keep you busy, including loafs of glass blowing studios (our favorite!)
Nearest airport
Portland international airport (PDX)is two hours away.
Getting around
Our home is located in the original Hill street neighborhood, which mostly consists of the first homes built in Pacific City. It is a quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the only grocery store in town! And it is also situated high above the tsumani zone. The closest beach, Bob Straub is a 15-20 minute walk. All others you will likely want to drive to.

We prefer to travel anywhere within 1000 miles of Oregon and to sunny and/or beach locations anywhere in the world. But also open to all destinations as we find the mystery of where we might go next to be part of the fun!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
