General Overview

Our home is located in a small community with three other families. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has a small private garden. Our home is simple but friendly. We have a fully equipped kitchen, a big living area with a beautiful view, three bedrooms and one bathroom. The rooms has: 1: 1 180cm bed + baby bed 2: 1 120 cm bed 3: 1 120 cm bed Extra matresses can be arranged in the kids rooms. Outside there's plenty of space to explore: we have a huge flower garden, fruit trees and berries, chickens, a shelter, a big sandbox etc. You are welcome to explore it all as long as you bear in mind that it is shared with the other families living here. We are open to housing dogs as well, but note that the ground isn't fenced so they cannot run freely outside the house.

Guest Access

The apartment is located on the ground floor. A small family is living on the first floor but the apartments are of course completely private. The building is old so the doors are a bit narrow and unfortunately not accessible by wheelchair.

Neighbourhood

Our village is located right between Ry and Skanderborg. Both towns offer everything you need with groceries, cafes, shops, cinema etc. From Ry there is access to several hiking routes. One leading to "Himmelbjerget" the sky mountain being one of Denmarks highest points (not very high in international standards!) but there is a beautiful view from there and a great hike to get there. It is also possible to explore the area from the water in kayak or canoe as we live close to Gudenåen (the biggest river) and many of the lakes it connects. From our home you have 5 nice swimming spots within 5-10 km. Legoland can be reached within 1 hour by car.

Getting to my home

We live in a small village. It is easiest to get here by car but there is a small translation 2,5 km away where the train leaves for Aarhus every hour. By train or car Aarhus is 30 minutes away and Silkeborg (a nice town) is also 30 minutes away.

Billund (1 hour) Aarhus (1 hour)

Getting Around

The easiest way to get around is by car, but for smaller trips you can go by bike. We have an electrical cargo bike that you are welcome to use while staying in our home. It has seats for two children (and space for two more)
