"Relaxing" is how we would best describe our home on 3 acres in Crozet, VA, nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We love being outdoors or sitting on our front porch, listening to the sounds of nature, walking the trails that circle the house and grounds, yet knowing that we're just 3 minutes from downtown Crozet and 15 minutes from Charlottesville. We're also around the corner from Mint Springs Valley Park, which includes a swimming beach, lake, and regional hiking trails; and, the Crozet greenways trails system is a 5-minute drive. The area is best known for wineries, coffee houses, mountain hiking/biking, Shenandoah National park(25 min drive), Skyline drive (15 mins), and the Appalachian Trail (15 mins).
The space
This is a basic, comfortable space with three bedrooms, each with a lovely view of the outdoors. Master bedroom has a Queen bed, second bedroom has a full bed and two bunkbeds, and third bedroom has a full bed. There is also a pull-out daybed with pop-up trundle that expands to make a king sized bed in the main living area, and a futon that folds out into a full sized bed also in the main living area.
Guest access
This is a one-level home.
Notes
Crozet is a naturally beautiful area about 10 miles west of Charlottesville. People are drawn to it because of its natural features including trail/mountain hiking and proximity to Charlottesville. In Crozet, the regional park system is around the corner, the Appalachian trail and Shenandoah National Park are just miles away, yet we are also minutes from downtown Crozet by car and about 15 minutes from Charlottesville by car. Of note, we do recommend having a car, bike, or electric bike to get around because the local backroads leading to and from the house are fairly narrow and winding, without a lot of buffer to walk on.

The immediate neighborhood is residential homes on a country road. We recommend having a car, bike or electric bike to get around because the local backroads leading to and from the house are fairly narrow and winding, without a lot of buffer to walk on. King Family Vineyards is less than a mile away, as is Mint Springs Regional Park/beach/swimming/hiking. Mudhouse coffee shop is a popular favorite, as is Crozet pizza and Fardowners restaurant.
