Neighbourhood

Our villa is close to Almyrida (2km) with a beach, local shops, tavernas and snack bars. There is also Kalyves around 10mins away with beach, more local shops, small supermarket and more bars and tavernas. Between them they can supply all daily needs. Nearest large supermarkets are at Chania and Souda. Chania, and its famous Venetian port and old town is 30-40 minutes. There are numerous charming traditional villages if you are looking for traditional Cretan tavernas.

Chania Airport: 33km (approx 40mins) Heraklion Airport: 120km (approx 2 hours) Souda Ferry Port: 19km (approx 30 mins)

Getting around

You will need to hire a car as we are not right of the beach. We find car hire is reasonably priced in Crete.
