Neighbourhood

Nestled in the heart of Surrey, the picturesque village of Chobham is a real gem for those seeking a taste of scenic English countryside and village life, yet not far from all the attractions of London. The village's traditional High Street is on our doorstep and is lined with cosy cafes, quaint shops and inviting pubs, perfect for weekend brunches. This charming village, renowned for its rich history and stunning rural landscapes, is a haven for nature enthusiasts and families alike. Nearby Chobham Common is the largest National Nature Reserve in the south-east of England and offers excellent country walks and horse riding. The enchanting Virginia Water Lake and Windsor Great Park offer endless opportunities for picnics, cycling, and exploring woodlands. There are also beautiful rivers for kayaking adventures (our kayak is available to guests). With its rolling hills, the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away, offering spectacular hiking and biking trails with breathtaking views (bikes also available for guests). For golf enthusiasts, there are several golf clubs nearby including Chobham Golf Club, Wentworth and Foxhills (spa and hotel). On top of the many outdoor and nature-based activities, there are also family attractions nearby, from Chobham Adventure Farm (an indoor and outdoor adventure soft play), which is a 5-minute walk away, to Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor (25 mins drive). You can also easily access all the central London attractions and shows via the railway station at Woking (7 minutes’ drive), which has fast and frequent train services to London Waterloo (26 min). You can also make a day trip to the sandy beaches at West Wittering (1 hr 30 mins drive).

There is easy access via the motorways to London Heathrow (LHR) airport (25 mins’ drive) and London Gatwick (LGW) airport (45 mins).

Getting Around

There are many lovely pubs, restaurants and shops on the village High Street in close walking distance, and also walks available from the door, however a car is recommended to make the most of the wider countryside and beautiful scenery in the Surrey area.
