It was a pleasure to host Ingrid and Ralph. They are a lovely couple and communication was easy throughout. Room was left clean and tidy and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them as perfect PLU guests. Wishing them a safe and enjoyable journey on the remainder of their European visit.

Angelene and John have set a high bar indeed for a HOSPITALITY visit! I doubt that we or others can surpass it in kindness and generosity. Of course their home was lovely—cozy, spacious and clean—but their welcome was like being received by family. From the outset, communication was clear yet flexible. John actually met us at the Dublin train station, then invited us to relax on the deck or join him in watching sports. The tour of the beach afterwards was followed by one of the most delicious home cooked meals I’ve ever enjoyed. We didn’t expect such lavishness to continue all week, but it did! Offers of family breakfasts and dinners were routine, as was Angelene’s cheerful “taxi” service to nearby villages to explore when public transportation or weather were uncooperative. Although not close, Angelene also took us to fantastic Glendalough. The highlight of our touring was Angelene and John’s evening trip to a REAL Irish pub with live music. A personal dream come true for me. Best of all, however, was the person-to-person sharing among the four of us. A gift we will treasure always. What made Angelene’s time with us even more special is that she was simultaneously balancing her father’s health situation in Donegal. Somehow she made it all work. We hope one day we might reciprocate in Vermont:) Thank you, Angelene and John, for a truly welcoming visit we will never forget!

My husband and I were pleased to stay in Krzysztof’s home for three nights in a Hospitality Exchange, our first ever through PLU. The home is comfortable and absolutely immaculate. Our bedroom and bathroom, too, were spotless and were a welcome, relaxing retreat from our packed days in Dublin. We relied on public transportation and so were glad for the convenient bus service between Krzysztof’s home and the city. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, gracious and welcoming. We are most thankful for their hospitality and we highly recommend their home.

Ingrid and Ralph are both semi-retired spiritual leaders and teachers.  We love that trust and hospitality are the underlying principles of People Like Us.  Exchanges like these can contribute to peacemaking in our world.  
Now that our four children are adults and we have more time for ourselves, we are eager to travel starting this coming summer 2024.  Also, we would love to host you anytime in our historic (1820) yet cozy home in southeastern Vermont, where every season offers unique charms.
