General overview
We live in a lovely three-story cottage (including a basement) located in a peaceful residential area. Founded in the 17th century, Cap-Santé is renowned for its historic character and is part of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages of Quebec.
The space
On the ground floor of the house is the main living area, including the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, the bathroom and, during the summer, the adjoining terrace.
Upstairs are the master bedroom and guest bedroom with large queen beds and an office perfectly equipped for teleworking. The large bathroom is also on the first floor, with a shower, freestanding bath and toilet.
In the basement (partially finished) we find the laundry room and another office space with printer.
Notes
You must have a vehicle to be able to travel around and visit neighboring areas. However, you will be able to benefit from our two electrically assisted bicycles. Please note that we are located just 2 km from a main motorway (A40).
Our cat Gaston is a little wary at first, but as soon as he feels confident he becomes more affectionate. He loves to be picked up and cuddled. From spring to autumn he goes outside and likes to sleep on the chairs on the terrace.

Neighbourhood
We live in a peaceful residential area, very close to the magnificent St. Lawrence River. The village of Cap-Santé is approximately 1.5km away. This is where you can access the river and the beach.
The main asset of our house is its location. First, the village of Cap-Santé is charming with its historic buildings and its Vieux Chemin (one of the "most beautiful streets in Canada"), lined with heritage houses. It is in the village that you can access the Cap-Santé quay, the river and the beach (depending on the tide).
Our region, Portneuf, offers incredible opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts (cycling, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, etc.). As mentioned, you will be able to benefit from our two electrically assisted bicycles.
Then there is the fabulous city of Quebec, with its renowned restaurants, its numerous festivals, its open-air shows, its unique carnival and its historic district, a jewel of UNESCO world heritage. You can be there in 30 to 45 minutes.
In addition, the house is less than 3 hours drive from Montreal and the superb regions of Mauricie, Lanaudière, Lotbinière, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Charlevoix, among others.
We are open to the idea of lending our car, according to terms to be discussed.

Getting to my home
We are located 30 minutes by car from the Quebec airport and 2.5 hours by car from the Montreal airport. This last journey can also be made by plane, bus or train from Montreal to Quebec, then by car from Quebec to Cap-Santé.

Quebec Airport, 44 km.
Getting around
All the shops necessary for supplies (grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, hardware stores, restaurants, etc.) are located in the neighboring town, Donnacona, 4 km away. It is best to have a car, but it is possible to go by bike and you will have our two electrically assisted bikes.
