General overview

Our place is a ground floor, swim out unit, that has an expanded backyard. It is equipped with its own pool, grill, small garden, outdoor sink and prep area, shower and hammock. It is an escape. We are located just two blocks off the new beach road, and once on it, you are 5min from the beach. It is perfect to ride bikes to. The roads in our area have all been freshly paved and are smooth.

The space

Our home is a one bedroom, with a retractable wall that divides the bedroom from the living room. You can leave it open in the day so the sunlight fills the whole area. The living room has a pull out couch, with a second small sitting area. The Kitchen is fully stocked, with an american style kitchen, and every kind of gagget need to make a wonderfull meal. There is an island with barstools, for eating and wortking and also a small table and chair behind the couch. I have installed a bookshelf, which is filled with books for adults and games for adults and children. The bathroom is equipped with two sinks and a large shower. Our unit contains floor to ceiling windows, that slide open, to access the backyard. Outside you will find everything you need to grill and age out and relax. There is a 24hr maintenance person available.

Guest access

This is a one floor unit, on the ground floor. The is a boutique condo development, and is gated, with high walls and 24/7 front guard.

Notes

There is not a gym on property; however, Tulum's news, and most state of the art gym, is 3 blocks away, and takes 5 min to walk to. They sell daily, weekly, and monthly memberships for people visiting. The new Mayan Train just opened, and from it you can get around to just about anywhere in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Neighbourhood

This area of Tulum is quickly becoming the newest 'it' area to stay. There are new restaurants, shops and bars going in weekly. Inside the building itself, you will find peace and tranquility as most owners use it for rentals and it's usually very empty and private. Tulum is just a amazing part of the world, there is much to explore here besides the beautiful beaches, come to explore the many ruins and cenotes, or take day trips to colonial cities in the Yucatan including Merida, Valladeloid and Coba. If your a foodie or vegan this is also a great place to explore the Mayan Culture.

Getting to my home

Best to arrive via Cancun international airport and rent a car New Tulum international airport currently has domestic flights available and in March open to international flights but mostly I see flights from USA airport.

Nearest airport

There are two main airports: CUN - Cancun International, 1:45min drive TQO - Tulum International, 20min (this is a brand new airport that just opened)

Getting around

Walk: There are many locations within walking distance, for eating, drinking and shopping. Local Cabs: They are affordable, and can be called by the front desk. Bikes: There are bikes on property, and can be rented for $10USD a day. Local Transportation: It is very reliable in the area, and can take you practically anywhere. Rentals: Many people rent scooters or 4 wheelers to get around, and there are many places to rent from. Some even in walking distance. Car: You can always rent a car for a day or your whole trip.
