We have lived here for 8 years and have made this house our home. It’s spacious and inviting with 4 bedrooms 4 bathrooms.
We have bikes, scooters and skateboards as well as a trampoline. The best way to get around is using a ride share app, we use grab and bolt. It’s very cheap, about $6 to get into the city centre. The house is in a gated neighbourhood and is very quiet and safe. The neighbourhood has a big park at the end of our street, with bike track and play equipment. There is a clubhouse with restaurant and pool that costs $2 to use. There is also a massage parlour with $5 hour long massages and a corner store that sells cheap drinks/ice creams and basic groceries. A 10-15 minute walk away there is a western supermarket, huge fresh produce market, restaurants, cafes and 7/11.
Chiang Mai is a big city that is packed with culture. There are 100’s of temples, ruins, museums and amazing architecture. There are big malls with all the western brands and huge street markets with beautiful locally crafted goods. There are adventure sports like rafting, quad biking, zip lining etc. There are fabulous restaurants serving food from every corner of the globe. A big coffee/cafe scene with one on every corner.
We are 10 minutes from international airport and 15 minutes from city centre. 5 minute drive and you are out of the city in the mountains with elephants. It’s a 1hr flight to Bangkok and 2hr flight to Phuket.
The space
There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a lounge room with Tv, treadmill and ensuite with bathtub. 2 bedrooms have a bunk bed and a bed with trundle and 4th bedroom downstairs has a single bed with ensuite bathroom. We have a music room with piano, guitars, uke and cajon. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, thermomix, air fryer etc. there is a small yard with trampoline and a bbq.
Guest access
There are 3 steps up to the front door, then 2 flights up to 2nd floor and 4 steps down to guest bathroom under the stairs. The house isn’t really suitable for toddlers as we don’t have stair gates to protect them.

I had a fabulous stay with Alisa! What a beautiful family. The house is lovely and the district/ neighbourhood so safe feeling and so close to everything. Fabulous food and Thai people are so polite and friendly. The family could not have been more helpful. Alisa's dentist is amazing and could not have been more professional. And so much cheaper than home in Australia. It is reassuring to see all the dentists credentials up on the wall with their photo and where and when they trained.
Thanks Alisa

Kathie and Martin were wonderful guests. Easy going and fun. We loved showing them around our corner of the world. We can’t wait to visit them in Dalmeny sometime soon.
