Our large family home is located on our 200 acre century farm. We are an operating beef and crop farm that was preempted by my great grandfather in 1884.
These days the farm is run by my mom, my daughter and myself.
The space
Our open plan house has six bedrooms (one is very small) all with queen size beds.
We have a large kitchen with ample seating for a big family and a few friends and a large open living room.
Guest access
The entire house is on one level, with a large front deck and wheelchair ramp access to French doors.
The yard around the house is ample but we ask people to not wonder out and around the outer buildings or barn yard without permission.

Neighbourhood
We are in a rural area amidst farmland and forest
We are about 1/2 an hour drive from Mt Washington ski resort, 5 minutes drive to lovely beaches, and golf courses just down the road.
Hiking in renowned Seal Bay Park is just around the corner, and the old mining town of Cumberland is only a half hour away
Getting to my home
I think a vehicle is essential on Vancouver Island, to see everything you would want to see.
We are lucky enough to have an airport in the Valley with flights direct from Vancouver and other Canadian cities. At the airport as well as in Courtenay you will find car rental agencies.
Nearest airport
Comox Airport YQQ is the nearest airport, it’s about 20 minutes from our door.
Getting around
We are about 15 minutes by car from Courtenay, where there is shopping and restaurants:
A small grocery shop and diner are 5 minutes drive away.
We have a farm shop on site where you can purchase fresh eggs and frozen meats produced here.
