General overview
Our house is situated in a great, quiet neighborhood situated surrounded by forests and rivers. Hikes and exploring abound right from the house. Across the street from the slow moving Deschutes River where you can float and watch the wildlife. Within a short walk of the picturesque crystal clear water of the Fall River.
We live 15 minutes from the resort community of Sunriver where there are shops and activities to join. We live 30 minutes from Bend where other shopping, entertainment, restaurants, pubs abound.
The space
Our house has four bedrooms with queen beds. One of the bedrooms is downstairs adjacent to the main living space while the other three are upstairs. We have an additional loft space with entertainment area, including our son's XBox and a single bed. There are two main bathrooms with tub showers, one located on the main level and one upstairs. In addition, there is a master bathroom located off the upstairs master bedroom.
There is an main living area with nook dining table adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking implements. There is another den area with a futon couch and window seating area. I have made my office out of the formal dining area. Full "mud room" area with laundry facilities and wash basin.
Outside, we have forest. Our house sits on 1.5 acres of forested land. We have set up an outdoor space for entertaining and cooking BBQs. There is a Japanese Style Soaking Tub (Hottub) for enjoying the outside, relaxing muscles, either in the summer or winter. We have a large deck to relax and enjoy the quiet. We have a small tree house and zip line for the kids to enjoy.
Our subdivision of approx. 100 homes is surrounded on two sides by National Forest public lands, one side by State Forest public lands, and one side the Deschutes River. Hiking, biking, and exploring can be done all around us, all in walking distances. We are walking distance from the Fall River for fishing and just exploring.

The Perkins family.
We are a family of 4; mom and dad, teen age girl and boy both in high school. We have a one more year with our daughter and a couple more years with our son at home, then we expect to be empty nesters. We look forward to enjoying some travel with them while we can and then look forward to retiring and traveling with my wife and I.
We are looking forward to trying out the PLU platform while we are still working in anticipation of using it more when my wife and I retire to travel.
