We live on the Sunshine Coast [One hour north of Brisbane] which has been rated as one of the premier tourist destinations in all of Australia. This area relies on natural beauty and low rise unlike the flashy Gold Coast [to our south] with its enormous skyscrapers etc. Being so close to the beach makes my daily walks there, [only one block away] no effort at all! If I turn right, I have a 10 km uninterrupted and rarely busy, white sandy beach walk. If I turn left, I can use the cliff top graded tracks, past 3 secluded beaches on an easy 2 km walk into the main shopping center of our local town, Coolum. Our 3 level townhouse is light, roomy, easy to live in, just lock and go! Our block of 4 owner occupied townhouses is of an older build, with size it's bonus. The larger than normal double car garage, separate laundry and storage room are now a bigger bonus than ever with the tiny spaces built these days.
Guest access
The 3 levels are bisected with a shared foyer with the adjoining neighbour. Stairs lead from the garage via the foyer to the living level, another set of stairs lead up to the bedrooms and bathroom.

Neighbourhood
The coast has fantastic surf beaches, the 2nd largest monolith in Australia outside Ayers Rock (Uluru) is 2k's from us with a fantastic hike to the top viewing the whole region. Flat cycling of 20k's to the regions center, Maroochydore and famous Mooloolaba Beach. 20 k's in the other direction to one of Australia's top 10 surfing beaches - Noosa. The Hinterland offers many unique villages catering to craft, local food and microbreweries. This is a playground for Brisbane City people to come relax and unwind for the day. If snorkeling the GREAT BARRIER REEF is on your bucket list, Bundaberg is 3 hours north where a ferry runs out to the official start of the reef.

The Sunshine coast airport is serviced from the major cities and a 10 minute drive from our home. Brisbane International Airport is 1.5 hour drive from us. Trains connect Brisbane to Nambour, which is a 25 minute drive from our home.

Getting around
Local bus service goes past our door. It's a 2k walk into the village, passing 3 bays along the way on either a paved footpath or bush track combined with wooden boardwalk along the ocean.
