General Overview

Due to the new law in Turkey I am unable to have anyone in my home when I am not physically present. We are therefore offering hospitality in our home from April - mid June each year. ONLY for single person or a couple. 3 NIGHTS MINIMUM PLEASE. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment called Royal Links in Sarigerme, about 2km from the beautiful, sandy beach. Swimming pool outside the door shared with 8 apartments. Use of a gym and also a tennis court.

The Space

The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - we will occupy the main bedroom with en suite. You will have a double bedded room with excellent storage and your own private bathroom adjacent to the room (newly renovated). You can use the kitchen and lounge and make yourselves at home. We are very flexible. We are usually out and about as we live like a local when we are in Sarigerme. You are free to come and go as you please. We can give you advice on good trips from the local village, places to eat etc. You can eat out in the local restaurants or you can self cater in our kitchen. All rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. Lounge - Note: the TV does not have any stations but you can bring a fire stick or use the DVD's. A computer table is in the lounge if you need to work. Good kitchen with washing machine/dishwasher/hob/oven and large fridge freezer. we have a tennis court with pickleball lines too. I love playing pickleball!

Guest Access

You can park at the bottom, walk up past the pool, up the stairs and find a key safe outside our door. Other keys are inside the apartment for you.

Notes

We prefer non smokers. There are steps so it's not suitable for wheelchairs or if you can't do steps at all. There is parking at the top above the apartment for those who need less steps. Cleaning: we are very clean and tidy and would like you to keep the home clean and tidy too :) If you want to visit Cappodocia, ask me for contact details of my friends there.

Neighbourhood

Only 800m away is the lovely small, friendly village with shops, 3 small supermarkets and restaurants and bars. You can take a boat trip from the beach (2km away), book trips from the village to Dalyan, Oludeniz, 12 islands and so on. Ephesus is 3.5 hours away. We suggest a rental car so you can enjoy the area - driving in Turkey is very easy. The villages of Ortaca and Dalaman are both 15 minutes away and have great markets and cheap restaurants.

Getting to my home

Fly to Dalaman airport directly from most UK airports, from Germany too. You can go via Istanbul and then internal flight to Dalaman. We are 15 minutes from Dalaman airport - rent a car or take a taxi.

Getting Around

800m to the shops, restaurants and bars. About 2km to the beach - you can use a taxi or walk, or take the little dolmus bus. WE have 2 bicycles for use if you let us know in advance.

I'm Dawn (64), married to Andy (76) and we have been exchanging on different platforms for about 10 years now. We love exchanging and have done over 80 exchanges. I'm an English teacher and also teach sports. Andy is a retired Accountant who is an excellent handyman too. We are members of a Church in UK and in Turkey too and are always keen to find a Church in whatever country we are visiting. We love long term exchanges. We will always respect your home and trust that you will respect ours too. We don't smoke and we are very particular about cleanliness. In our homes we prefer people to stay for longer. Minimum 2 weeks preferred unless the calendar shows shorter dates. Happy to take a globe for 2 weeks and glad to receive globes too.
