General overview

An executive family home located in one of the UK's most popular tourist attractions. Beautiful home from home offering contemporary living accommodation with an enviable rear aspect. This truly stunning family residence offers flexible living accommodation across three storeys and has been finished to the highest standard. The property benefits from a generously sized master and guest bedroom suites as well as four additional double bedrooms. To the ground floor is a superb open plan kitchen with a range of integrated appliances as well as two further reception rooms. The property is finished to the highest standard with multi-pane sash casement windows throughout as well as feature cornicing. The property is accessed through a pillared entrance with a remote operated sliding gate leading to the private driveway that offers ample off street parking. Upon entering the property, there is a substantial oak floor hallway providing access to the downstairs living accommodation as well as having a useful WC and understairs storage cupboard. Double doors lead through to the magnificently designed and maintained open plan kitchen which again benefits from a continuation of the oak flooring. The kitchen boasts a range of integrated appliances as well as having the necessary recess for an American style fridge freezer. French doors lead out to the rear gardens and allow for natural light to flood the breakfast kitchen. Through the kitchen is also a useful utility area which has further storage units, sink with drainer, integrated fridge freezer, plumbing for an automatic washing machine and dryer. Two further well-proportioned reception rooms complete the downstairs living accommodation with the sitting room benefitting from a feature fireplace with a striking stone surround and double French doors leading to the rear gardens. Located on the first floor are both the master and guest bedroom suites as well as two further double bedrooms and the family bathroom. Both the master and guest bedrooms have stunning rural views to the rear aspect of the property. The rooms benefit from fully tiled en-suite bathrooms each with a low flush WC, vanity hand wash basin and heated towel rail. The master en-suite also has a walk-in shower cubicle with additional massage water pumps with the guest suite having a generous size bathtub with additional shower head. To the second floor is a further double bedroom with ample storage and a further area currently used as a study that has the necessary plumbing to create a third en-suite. The property sits on a substantial plot with gardens to both the front and rear that have been thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained. There is a resin gravel driveway offering ample off-street parking to the front and side of the property as well as a double garage with electrically operated door and loft space above. Notes

We are a loving and friendly family. Our children and 3&4. We love exploring new places and meeting new people. Our animals are part of our family and we love them dearly. My husband works in Finance and I work part time in Human Resources. We are keen to host guests on a hospitality stay for 5 nights to release our globe. This would mean sharing our home with us but would be at no cost to you. As this is our main home we can only do reciprocal swaps unless you are happy sharing with our lovely family. Please get in touch ❤️ With lots of love Em xxx Some videos for you of YORK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mssoG8gozF4

Neighbourhood

The village of Askham Bryan is 3.9 miles from the centre of York. This is a conservation village so has a real rural feel but still with easy access into the city centre. It's ancient Roman church and distinctive wide grass verge remains much of its original character. St Nicholas Church at Askham Bryan was built in the 12th century in the Norman period. The original building of the old public house in the village dates back to 1800. This became the Nags head in 1901. Our local pub (run by locals) offer a traditional English pub with open fire/ beer garden and home cooked food.

Getting to my home

Closest airport is Leeds Bradford or Manchester. If you are travelling by train we are 2 hours from London direct. You can easily jump in a taxi outside York train station and this would cost less than £20. There are two bus stops in the village and York coastliner runs regular routes to Askham Bryan. For those with a car the A1 bypass and the A1237 Outer Ring Road are no more than 2-3 minutes car journey away.

Nearest airport

Leeds Bradford Airport is less than one hour away and Manchester is less than 3 hours away. London airports are also accessible and depending on the mode of travel from 3 hours away.

Getting around

We are 3.9 miles from the centre of York. We are 2 and 8 mins from a bus stop. The latter has regular Coastliner bus services to the centre of York (usually come every 30 mins). For those with a car the park and ride is a brilliant option for quick access into the city centre. This is less than a 5 min drive (Askham Bar park and ride).
