General overview
** We aren't Premium members currently, but would be happy to join for the right exchange! Go ahead and shoot us a message :) We are only hosting for hospitality right now, which includes 1-2 bedrooms for 1-4 people. We are happy to accept a Globe or possibly a non-simultaneous exchange. **
Nestled among the massive Pacific Northwest evergreens, we are sure you will love our newly-remodeled three-bedroom two-bathroom home in Port Orchard, Washington as much as we do. After a long day of exploring the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas or Seattle, we invite you to relax in the hot tub under the stars by night with a cold drink or chat around the fire pit or table.
The space
Our hospitality space consists of one or two bedrooms and a bathroom that is private to you. You have full access to the backyard (hot tub and seasonal dining table, fire table, and fire pit).
The primary guest bedroom (for 1-2 people and babies) has a queen-sized bed, a dresser with a mirror, and a closet with plenty of space. We can also provide a desk, fan, baby bassinet and/or pack-and-play, and anything else you might need- just ask! The door to this bedroom locks from the inside.
The second bedroom is our home office, which has a couch that folds down to form the base of a queen-sized bed. We have a foldable mattress to put on top and it is quite comfortable. The room also has a top-of-the-line sit-stand desk, which you are welcome to use on weekends and holidays. There is no closet or mirror in here, but it is close to the guest bathroom and we can make space in the hall closet for you. Please note that there is no lock on the doors to this bedroom, though the doors do close all the way.
A private bathroom for only your party is located near the second bedroom/office, accessible from both guest rooms by a shared hallway. It has a shower with a bathtub, toilet, sink and mirror.
We have reliable high-speed (90 Mb/s) internet that has never given us an issue during video calls.
We love to cook, and love our kitchen! The kitchen has great new appliances (oven, microwave, range, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer), and brand-new quartz countertops. We have seating for two at the breakfast nook and a formal dining room seating 8. We provide all the basics you need including oils, vinegars, and spices and a range of pots, pans, and other cooking supplies, and all dishes.
The living room has a large rearrangeable couch that could serve as an additional sleeping space, the size of a double bed. We have a smart TV with a Roku stick for streaming from your favorite streaming services and an electric fireplace. We also have an extensive puzzle collection and plenty of board games that you are welcome to use.
One of our favorite parts of the house is looking out from almost any room and seeing nothing but trees! The backyard opens into a small forest, which can be enjoyed from our private hot tub (can be used year-round) or around our brand-new fire table (can be used seasonally March-October depending on rain forecast). An outdoor table seating four is available in the warmer months. We also have a gas grill you are welcome to use. We plant a big vegetable garden in the spring and summer, and invite you to harvest and eat anything that is ready and take care of the plants by watering them. We built our fire pit and patio in the backyard for a safe campfire among the trees.
Sorry, no garage parking, and no RV parking (HOA policy). Well-behaved small pets are welcome. Absolutely no smoking on the property (inside or outside).
Guest access
Our home is a single story, with one step to reach the house. No steps to access the patio, and 3 steps to get from the patio to the garden and lawn. The hot tub is above ground level and has 3 steps to get in- you will need to walk a short distance to access the hot tub. The shower is not a walk-in shower.
Notes
The main guest bedroom is open for hospitality at any point, with a preference for shorter 1-4 night stays. The second bedroom is only available on weekends and holidays as it doubles as Annaliese's office during the week.
We can be very accommodating with the amount of privacy you have. We would be happy to cook you a meal and provide breakfast and local recommendations, but also understand if you prefer to keep to yourselves. Note the kitchen and living room are shared spaces, but if know your schedule, we can plan to give you privacy while you are home.
Quiet hours are requested from 11 PM - 9 AM, including in the hot tub (you are welcome to use it, but our bedroom is next to the hot tub so request voices kept down).

Getting to my home
We recommend driving to our home, as we don’t have a nearby bus stop. You may be able to Uber from the Port Orchard foot ferry. There is a public bus rideshare from Monday-Friday that will take you anywhere in town for $2, picking up from next to our home.
Nearest airport
Seattle-Tacoma 49 miles. Check out the Kitsap Airporter if you prefer not to drive, or take the light rail to downtown Seattle and ferry over. There is also a ferry from Southworth to Port Orchard. Uber operates to and from the airport as well. There is also a train station in Seattle that connects to Portland, Vancouver, and others.
Getting around
A car is recommended for maximum enjoyment of the area, but depending on our schedule we can give you a ride to/from the Airporter or ferry. Within walking distance are hiking trails, plenty of sports courts, and a restaurant/bar.
**We are not currently Premium members, but are definitely willing to join for the right exchange. ** Please reach out- we are so excited to swap with you! On another platform, we have completed 12 exchanges to the USA, Canada, and Italy.
We are a couple in our 20s who work remotely and love to travel. Our most recent adventure was a giant road trip across the USA, Canada and Mexico. We stayed in AirBnBs for for 8 months during this time, and gained an appreciation for a comfortable and welcoming space. Now that we have a home of our own, we are getting that travel itch again! We love that home exchange platforms allow us to have our own cozy, personalized space with the ability to still travel.
"Christmas 2025, for around two weeks for two people. Flexible on timing and location, though we have visited Oahu before and loved it!"
