15 minute walk to beautiful downtown seaside village and marina,lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and groceries. Local recreation centre with gym a 5 minute walk away. Many different amazing beaches, hiking and cycling trails within 10-30 minutes drive. Day trips to islands, beaches, mountains , abound! Worldclass mountain biking in neighboring Cumberland (20 minute drive) and Mt. Washington (30 minute drive). Day trips to wee island communities in all directions. I'm Cheryl, newly retired from long career working for our local Authority as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. My husband, Jim, retired before me (lucky guy) and now we are hoping to resume our love of adventuring. We have two beautiful adult daughters who may join us on the occasional exchange, Paige and Rhea. We did home exchanging when our kids were younger and had some amazing experiences and look forward to sharing our family friendly home on Vancouver Island in our sweet town, Comox By TheSea!! We would welcome the opportunity to do local (Vancouver) exchanges to afford us more relaxing visiting time with our kids, and are also interested in car exchange for those who are comfortable with that, and we LOVE cats and are happy to exchange cat care, ours being Winnie the wonder feline. We enjoy cycling, organic gardening, camping and nature and look forward to new adventures!!
