General overview

Our home is a recently renovated four bed detached house in an cul de sac of 15 houses overlooking a large green area. It is an excellent and safe location. You can walk to the city centre in about 15-20 minutes. There is also a bus stop 3 minutes from the house which will bring you directly to the city centre. You can walk to the beach/ /swimming pool/promenade/playground/aquarium in about 10-15 minutes, where you will also find numerous bars and restaurants. There are supermarkets within walking distance or 3- 5 minutes by car. You will also find an amenity area with playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, running track and playing fields withing walking/cycling distance of our house. Galway was named as the European Capital of Culture for 2020. It is a vibrant university city on the west coast of Ireland and is known as the Cultural capital of Ireland or City of Festivals, including the Galway International Arts Festival, the Fringe Festival, the renowned Galway Races. There is something for every one, with traditional music venues, the local market selling fresh foods and arts and crafts, top quality restaurants, bars, live music, theaters, museums and shops. There is no shortage of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. There is an new indoor and outdoor adventure park located a 15 minute drive from our house, where you can do aerial adventure, archery, indoor wall climbing, bushcraft, yoga, fairy trail and more. www.wildlands.ie Eilemental is another outdoor activity park where you can play laser tag, splat ball, orienteering, disc golf, archery tag. www.eilemental.com There is ample opportunity for swimming (including jumping from the diving tower at Blackrock), surfing, wind/kite surfing, horse riding, fishing in the sea or Lough Corrib, boating, kayaking, tennis, walking, sailing, scuba diving and hiking. In addition to local beaches, you will find a fantastic water park an hours drive away (www.baysports.ie). There are a number of golf courses located very nearby. You can challenge yourselves by trying out Escape Rooms in the city. www.greatescaperooms.ie It is an excellent location for those wishing to explore the beauty of Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, which can be reached within 1 and 1/4 hrs, for stunning scenery and beautiful beaches such as Dogs Bay and Gurteen Bay in Roundstone. The Aran Islands and Inis Boffin can also be easily reached. There is plenty to keep children entertained, including numerous playgrounds, forest walks, beaches, aquarium, pet farms, and cinemas. The lively Mayo town of Westport is 1 and 1/4 hours drive, where you can visit Wesport House and partake in many activities such as zorbing, high ropes course, archery tag and zip wire ride. www.westporthouse.ie. You can also cycle the Great Western Greenway. Athlone is a hour away where you can visit Baysports, an outdoor inflatable waterpark. The space

Rooms include open plan kitchen/dining living area, a tv room/playroom/office, utility room and downstairs WC. Upstairs is a master bed-room with ensuite, a double room, a single room and another room with bunkbeds, and master bathroom. The house overlooks a large green area with plenty of space for children to play. We have an enclosed back garden where children can play safely, or enjoy a BBQ if the weather allows. The house has plenty of toys to keep children entertained, and Netflix and Wifi. We have two adult bikes, a tag along for a small child, and three children's bikes (two suitable for teenagers), as well as scooters.

Getting around

Our house is excellently located for walking and cycling to the beach or the city centre, It is also located a three minute walk to a bus stop which will bring you to the city centre. From the city centre you can takes intercity buses and trains all over the country. Our front garden can accommodate three cars also.
