Looking down the steps to the orchard. Depending on when you come, there will likely be fruit to share. Summer: loquats, apricots, plums, figs, apples, pears. Fall/Winter: pomegranates, mandarins, lemons, olives.
Evie won't be home when you visit, unless you want her to be and we think it's a good fit. But Izzy will miss Evie - Izzy snuggles everyone.
Izzy is our silly, fun, snuggler of a cat. She has enough charm for 9 lifetimes!

The studio cottage has an adjustable queen bed, full sofa, small kitchenette, and bathroom. We can provide two additional mattresses for the floor for kids.

Our cob oven makes the very best pizzas! It takes some tending to build up heat but we're happy for guests to use it if they want to learn.
We don't often get spectacular sunsets, but when we do, the photos don't do them justice!
Mid-peninsula open space preserves are all fairly close. There are 68,000 acres of nature preserves within 1 hour drive.
More great spots to hike than you can possibly explore!
Montaro State Beach is about 40 minutes drive. You'll pass a dozen more beaches on your way there!
It's hard to choose a favorite beach, but if we had to, we might say Natural Bridges State Park, about 30 minutes drive.
At Natural Bridges, you can get to this beach if you wait until the tide goes out.
Coastal redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains are some of the oldest and largest trees in the world!
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is a really fun way to spend an afternoon.
Henry Cowell State Park is about 40 minutes drive and has a wonderful, easy nature trail where you can see gorgeous ancient redwoods.

Though only a couple of the Santa Cruz city beaches have fire pits, it's often easy to have a fire on any of the coast beaches. If you head north from Santa Cruz, many beaches are very uncrowded.
Yosemite National Park is more of a long weekend trip, 4 hours drive. But it's definitely worth it. Make reservations!
Big Basin, the first state park in California, burned in the massive 2020 wildfires in the Santa Cruz Mountains. But the redwoods are all growing back as California is a fire adapted ecosystem. The park has lots of educational information about this and the trails are open!
