General overview
A sweet, charming home away from home centrally located in Montréal's Plateau neighbourhood overlooking Parc Lafontaine.
Our Montreal apartment is located in the heart of the city: walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shops on Mont Royal within ten minutes, and one Montréal's best parks right outside your doorstep!
This neighbourhood is the best place to be in the city all year long with Montreal's festivals, bars, restaurants all outside the front door. It's very walkable with great public transit nearby as well as a bike share station around the corner.
From tennis courts in the spring, picnics throughout the summer, admiring the gorgeous autumnal colours in the fall, to ice skating in the winter, being just steps away from Parc Lafontaine is a true joy!
**Dog-friendly apartment!** There is an off-leash park located in Parc Lafontaine just a five minute walk away!
The space
This classic Montreal apartment is open and bright with lots of plants, art and books. It is on the second floor of a fiveplex with a back balcony and lovely, friendly neighbours.
We have a very comfortable double-sized air mattress for additional guests so the apartment can comfortably fit 4 people.
Taylor's favourite room of the apartment is the front office, which overlooks the park through the big windows. We also have a cozy reading nook set up surrounded by plants.
There is radiator heating to keep you warm through the winter and an Air Conditioner unit and fans for the hotter months. The bed is a very comfortable queen with lots of pillows. The bathroom is newly renovated with a rain shower and deep bath tub along with a Tushy toilet bidet. The kitchen includes a dishwasher - yay!
Guest access
Located up a set of stairs on the second floor of a triplex.
Street parking is available.
Notes
Nearby, you may wish to go skiing in Mont Tremblant (2hrs away); go hiking in Mont Tremblant National Park; making a trip 3hrs up to Quebec City; consider taking the train or driving to the nation's capital Ottawa just over two hours away, or driving 6 hrs to Niagara Falls. We're also one train ride away from Toronto which is full of amazing restaurants, nightlife, shows, and other attractions.

Neighbourhood
The Plateau is where you'll want to be in Montreal! We'll be more than happy to share a list of our favourite neighbourhood cafes, bars, restaurants, sandwich shops, etc - all within walking distance!
Getting to my home
Getting to our apartment from the airport:
Montreal has a really great airport bus called the 747. The "long route" will get you right into the Plateau.
You'll want to get off at the Gare d'autocars de Montreal stop (end of the line), and then you could take a cheap Uber ride from there (~$15CAD?).
**Note: you'll need to buy a bus ticket from the airport. There are ticket machines inside the airport, which you'll need to stop at to get your ticket before proceeding outside to the bus stop.
You'll need to choose what kind of ticket you'd like to get e.g. if you don't anticipate you'll be using public transit in the first few days that you're there, you can buy the 24hour all zones pass for $11. Unfortunately, there isn't just a single ticket option to get you from the airport into the city; $11 is your cheapest option.
If you think you'll be using transit more, you can buy one of the other passes e.g. unlimited travel for 3 consecutive days for $21.25.

If you'll be arriving late, you're travelling with a lot of luggage, and/or you prefer the convenience of a quick and easy ride in, you may consider getting an Uber from the airport. It'll likely by around $50CAD. There is an Uber pick-up point at Door 20/28. Ubers are typically cheaper than taxis from the airport.
Another tip, if helpful: Montreal airport has free wifi, just look for the "YUL" network.
FROM THE TRAIN STATION: You can easily take a bus or an Uber!
Getting around
We are located on a main bus route and a 20 minute walk from the metro. There are also Bixi bike share stations located within a five minute walk in any direction as well as Communauto car share options!
