General overview
Hiking, fishing, and camping - oh my! Located in what is called "Alaska's Playground" our home is just a 10-minute walk from the famous Kenai River. Fish for salmon, watch for eagles, and you may even happen upon a moose on your way.
We are in town so you can easily access stores, shops, and restaurants, as well as, festivals, markets, and community events.
We are central to key Alaskan destinations including Homer, Seward, Cooper Landing and more!
Our 3-bed, 3-bath home features an open-concept living room and kitchen area with a fireplace and high vaulted ceilings. Natural light floods this space. The high windows provide excellent northern light viewing right from the couch in the winter.
Two bedrooms are on the first floor with a shared Jack/Jill bathroom between the two. One bedroom is equipped for young children and features a full bed with a bunked twin bed above it. The second bedroom features a queen bed and a desk/workspace area.
The upstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The vaulted ceilings and large windows provide more natural light. This bedroom has a king bed.
The garage has been converted into a workout room and playroom. There is a sitting/bar area for adults and a climbing gym area for young children. We have workout equipment including yoga mats, weight sets, and an elliptical.
Our backyard has a beautiful and massive raspberry garden, as well as apple trees, and rhubarb. There are toys for kids and a dog run for your pups. Our grill, seating, and large porch make for a great outdoor gathering place.

We are a family of three. We have an almost 2-year-old. I work for a podcast production company and can work remotely. My husband works for a tech company and gets 4-6 weeks of vacation a year. We love our home in Alaska but also love to travel! I have coworkers in Austin, Texas so am very excited about finding home exchange opportunities in and around Austin. We are also interested in doing an extended family vacation to Peru/South America. We prefer 2-8 week long stays.
