General overview
We live in a peaceful and beautiful area with walking trails and parks outside our doors. The house has three bedrooms and 2.5 baths, as well as a bonus room on the main floor. Many natural attractions, from mountains to lakes to the ocean, can be reached by car. Seattle and the surrounding smaller cities have a vibrant cultural scene.
We fell in love with the Pacific Northwest over two decades ago. For us, it provides the best of both worlds. In the summertime, one can explore the many hiking trails in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, numerous lakes, and the ocean. The outdoor possibilities are endless. In the winter, multiple ski resorts are 40 minutes to a couple of hours away. The cultural scene in Seattle and the nearby cities is vibrant, and the many local attractions quickly fill one's free time. It's hard to be bored, from theater to museums to festivals and fairs.
The space
Our house is in a quiet and safe neighborhood that borders a wetland. We are surrounded by nature and often have wildlife visiting our backyard.
On the patio, you will find a small dining table with chairs and benches for sitting and relaxing. We also have a free-standing fireplace which can be used for ambiance or making smores.

The house has two floors, with an open living and dining area, a half bath, and a bonus room on the main floor. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located upstairs.

We are outdoor enthusiasts and have a lot of outdoor equipment available for your use, including bikes and kayaks.

Our peaceful neighborhood offers an intricate network of paved and unpaved walking trails.
Some services and restaurants are within walking distance, including a great local coffee shop. The nearest grocery store is 2 miles away, with a few more restaurants and other businesses.
Getting to my home
The best way to reach our home is by car. There is public transportation available on weekdays.

We are a family of four: two adults and two kids aged 12 and 19. Our passion for travel started when my husband and I were kids, and exploring the world has always been part of our lives.
Last year, we made a lifelong dream a reality - we embarked on a year-long world schooling adventure with our daughters. Working and going to school remotely has allowed us to explore the world more frequently. In September, our older daughter started college in Spain, and while we continue living with our younger daughter in Redmond, WA, we don't typically stay put for very long.
We would love to share our home with other families and people who like to travel. Meeting other people and being part of a home exchange community is a new adventure that we are excited about! We are very tidy and will treat your home with respect and great care.
