Our home is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that has something to offer for everyone!
A converted-barn originally built in 1942, it sits nestled into 5 acres of land, full of flowers, garden vegetables, huge weeping willow trees, and a 2-acre pond full of turtles, ducks, eagles, hawks, and herons.
It was important to us that we maintain the integrity of the building and as such, the interior is a comfortable space with an air of modernism while still keeping the rustic charm of the original barn that has been used in the past as a dairy barn, a polo horse stable, and a farm vet clinic.
We have bedrooms in the old horse stalls, lights that illuminate the original "poop trough", and the concrete floor that peeks out behind the Persian rugs that show where sneaky cow hooves found the newly poured concrete!
Our new addition might be the "piece de resistance" though! We've just added a private, outdoor nordic spa! Guests can connect, relax, and improve their health + wellbeing with our Scandinavian cedar sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge!
Our home has definitely been a place where memories and magic have happened and we continue to be amazed at what (and who ;) shows up!
The space
One of the things that we love best about our place is all of the SPACE inside and out!
The living area is wide open with many options for a social gathering, cozying up with a blanket and a good book, or getting competitive with family members over a good board game.
Guests can unwind on our daybed in our little library full of inspiring literature, or, unroll a yoga mat in our barn-loft meditation and yoga studio. As well, we have one larger dining table that comfortably seats 10, as well as a secondary dining table for 6.
Our open kitchen is open and airy, and is fully stocked for all cooking needs.
Our sleeping quarters may be the most unique part of our home as they include 2 rooms (both with 2 single beds), that have been set-up inside old polo-horse stalls. As well, we have two built-in bunkbeds (sleeping for 4), in our bunkroom, and each bed has it's own nightlight and privacy curtain.
Lastly, the main bedroom is oversized and has a California king bed and a desk in the event that any work needs to be done in a quiet space away from the hustle and bustle of the main living area.
Altogether, here are the rooms and what they sleep:
Bedroom #1: 2 Twin beds
Bedroom #2: 2 Twin beds
Bunkroom: 4 Twin Beds
Main Bedroom: 1 King Bed
*Extra loft bedroom: 1 Queen-sized bed
* We also have 4 roll-out cots available.
And though we have plenty of sleeping space, please note that we only have two bathrooms.
Bathroom #1: 1 toilet
Bathroom #2: 1 toilet, 1 bathtub/shower
Washer and Dryer is also available
Guest access
All living and sleeping areas are on the main floor and do not require stair-access.
Our extra bedroom and yoga studio are upstairs.
Notes
Please supervise children while they are outside as we have a very large pond which is not fenced.
Also, our barn is lovely and we have done a lot of work to seal it as best we can while also having an exterminator come monthly...and it is still a barn in the countryside. We live in a place were we do have snakes ( mainly harmless garter snakes), mice, rats, and spiders. Though we've never had a problem with critters at all, it is important to know what you may bump into ;)

Neighbourhood
Although it is immersed in nature, we are only 20 minutes from the Kelowna airport, and less than 10 minutes to both Lake Kalamalka and Lake Okanagan. (popular for boaters and water-sports).
The area is known worldwide for its fruit orchards, vineyards, and wineries, and although there is much to do in the summer, Both Silverstar (30 minutes away) and Big White (just under an hour), are well known to downhill skiers from across the country and beyond.
A few minutes up the hill from us is Predator Ridge Golf Resort and Sparkling Hill, a wellness-hotel created by the Swarovski Crystal family. The views are incredible and there are many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in the area.
Getting to my home
If flying, the nearest airport is the Kelowna Airport (which is between 20-25 minutes away). In that case, I would suggest renting a vehicle from the airport as you will definitely need one to get around.
If driving, I can provide exact address and directions after booking. However, for reference, we are only a few minutes away from Predator Ridge Golf Resort.
Nearest airport
Kelowna International Airport (YLW)
30 kms. (25 minutes)
Getting around
Guests will require a vehicle to get around.
Closest stores and ammenities can be found in either Lake Country (10 minutes away-south) or Vernon (10 minutes away-north)
Vernon is a larger hub and has far more to offer though Lake Country is full of orchards, farms, and vinyards in the summer
