Doris and John were our first guests through PLU and our experience was an absolute joy ..They were incredibly gracious and appreciative of every detail of our home . When we returned our home was in perfect condition along with gift of appreciation .We can only hope that all exchanges are as friendly and warm as this exchange was. Thank you Doris and John !
Cheers to new friends🥂
Doris and her husband Johnnie were great guests. Their communication was excellent throughout organising the exchange. They were more than obliging in helping resolve issues with a broken fridge/ freezer as I was out of the country at the time of the exchange. I would welcome Doris and Johnnie back anytime.
Doris and Johnny were fantastic guests and looked after our home so well while we were away. Contact before their stay was super easy and it was lovely to get to know a bit more about them before they arrived. They looked after Bertie the cat, the garden and the house with such care. We’d love to have them back and only regret not getting the chance to meet one another while they were here. Perhaps next time!
Doris and John were absolutely wonderful guests! It was our very first exchange and they left us with a good feeling to do more. Thank you for that! They left our home in top notch shape and I would love to see them come again. I am so looking forward to visiting their home in Kentucky in March, 2024. Thanks again Doris and John! I would highly recommend them to exchange with.
sincerely,
Cathy and Claude
Easy to arrange and a pleasure to host. I hope you enjoyed your stay
Doris and James were the best guests you could possibly have. Great to communicate with, easy going, no fuzz, positive and care taking. In short my best endorsements!
Staying in Deborah and Steve’s beautiful country home was the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. The home itself is so lovely and welcoming that it would have been easy to spend every day there amid the peaceful natural setting. However, the many nearby towns with shops, museums, and restaurants provided just the right enticement to explore. Afternoon walks at sunset on the shore of Lake Michigan quickly became our routine.
From the very first contact, Deborah was easy to communicate with, and she and Steve were exceptionally attentive hosts.
Their appreciation for beautiful surroundings is a natural extension of their generous spirits.
Doris thank you both for being wonderful guests and loving our home ! On return we found our home in immaculate condition and are so grateful ..We will look forward to visiting your lake home and also hopefully meeting you in person! Thank you for making our first exchange a lovely one..
Cara and Killian’s home was comfortable and welcoming. Access to London via public transportation was quite convenient. Cara was easy to communicate with, especially as we dealt with an unexpected appliance malfunction. The availability of her house cleaner at no cost to us was especially welcome as we had an early flight home.
Our stay at Beth and Jamie’s could not have been more perfect. Communication before the exchange took care of so many details, and Beth was always available to answer my questions during our three week exchange. Her tips on things to do in their town as well as nearby places to visit were spot on.
Their home is welcoming and has everything needed for feeling at home. The flower and vegetable garden was a delightful bonus.
Bertie, the resident feline warmed to us and we enjoyed his company.
By all means chat with Beth if you’re thinking about a Scotland exchange.
Our stay at Cathy and Claude’s cozy cottage was everything we were hoping for. They made a point of welcoming us in person and offered excellent suggestions for lots of things to see and do. We chose to spend our days out and about, then we returned each evening to enjoy lovely sunsets overlooking the lake. If you enjoy pristine scenery and charming small towns filled with history, be sure to check out this opportunity.
We look forward to returning their hospitality when they visit our home in 2025.
When our visit with friends had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, Heloise came to our rescue. Although a new member (we were her first exchange!) she went above and beyond to make arrangements, even having her parents meet us at an Underground station to give us keys. She stayed in touch during our visit to be sure we were doing okay. This unplanned detour gave us the opportunity to visit an area of England that we hadn’t planned, and it can be said that “All’s well that ends well.”
Our stay at Sofie and Martin’s home could not have been more perfect. Sofie agreed to a non-sim exchange when I told her that visiting Sweden had long been my husband’s dream. Communication was prompt, and everything had been prepared for us, including the guest manual that provided much useful information. Their lovely home was a very special aspect of our two weeks stay. This was our first exchange with PLU, and we are completely sold on the entire process and happy to be part of this community.
By all means, take advantage if you have the opportunity to exchange with this couple.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure and a very good start for us as new PLU members to host you. We are planning to visit you sometime hopefully in the coming year or so. I would give my best recommendations to swap with Doris and James ! Take care and we’ll be in touch later on again when visiting you!
