I bought our vacation home in the Sierra Nevada mountains, California, in 2004 (#1439).
We have enjoyed it in every season. We live in the Bay Area (about 3 hours away, #3167) and enjoy the pool, lakes, wineries, tennis courts, restaurants, hiking, kayaking, lakes, skiing at Bear Valley and BBQ'ing and eating on the deck at the cabin. We both attended Cal Poly in SLO and love the Central Coast. We also have a home near wineries in Morgan Hill CA (#2570; allows day trips to Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Capitola, Aptos, Santa Cruz, San Francisco). Our primary house #3167 is in Campbell, near San Jose State University, Stanford, UC Santa Cruz and an easy drive to the coast (30 min) and near the main sites in the San Francisco Bay Area.
