The Space

Modern open plan living space with 3 separate bedroom/retreat areas: ideal for multiple groups/ families. Living Area: The downstairs area has a large open plan kitchen/ dining / lounge. This area overlooks the pool and deck with bi-fold doors opening to the pool. Retreat Area 1: Upstairs is the large master bedroom with king bed, study, ensuite and walk in robe. Also on this level is a separate bedroom with 2 single beds with ensuite. Retreat Area 2: Separate stairs lead to this loft style suite with king bed, lounge room ( with fold out sofa) and private bathroom. Retreat Area 3: Adjoining the pool deck is a separate self contained cabin/bungalow/ studio (granny flat in Australia). This residence has a queen bed, dining area and private bathroom. All areas are air-conditioned, and the kitchen has full cooking facilities with Miele appliances and Breville manual coffee machine. The property is fully fenced, private and secure.

Guest Access

This is a 2 story house with the living areas on the ground floor. Bedroom suites are either upstairs, or in the separate cabin/studio located off the pool deck. The property has lockable entry gate, 2 car remote garage and secure fencing.

Notes

Guests will have full access to the house and amenities including surfboards, standup paddleboard, and bikes.

Neighbourhood

Moffat Beach is one of the hidden gems of the Sunshine Coast. It retains the village/ family feel of a small beach town, while still being close to the the busier areas of Caloundra, Mooloolaba and Noosa. Nearby are extensive beach side parks with relaxed cafes to grab a bite to eat and watch the world go by. A small creek enters the beach which offers a safe space for children to swim and play. For the adults, Moffat Beach has a world class surf point break, as well as more open beach breaks nearby. Surfboards/stand-up paddle boards and bikes are available for guests to use. The village is well serviced by cafes and restaurants serving breakfast/ lunch/ dinner as well as a boutique brewery, ice creamery and homewares shops. Picnics from 3pm to dark are popular, particularly Fri/Sat/Sun, with families enjoying fish and chips, and a few quiet drinks while the sun goes down. The Sunshine Coast coastal pathway crosses through Moffat Beach, with beautiful walks/running tracks south to Golden Beach or north to Buddina/Bokarina. The house itself is set 2 streets back from the beach in a quiet, safe environment.

Nearest airport

Being on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane airport is approx 1.5hrs drive. While the smaller Sunshine Coast Airport is approx 40 min drive.

Getting Around

Moffat Beach is a Village community with 5 or 6 cafe's + home ware/beach wear shops at hand. There is a small supermarket and bakery within walking distance. Major supermarkets, shopping centres however are only a 5 min drive (2km). Public transport (bus) is nearby which can get you to most major attractions, as well as train connections to Brisbane. We are open to discussing mutual swap of vehicles ( note our vehicles are manual).

Prefer non- remote areas where we can use public transport or walk to local places of interest. Generally we don't swap over the Xmas/NewYear or Easter periods due to family commitments.
