From every window green hillsides are on view and when the sunshines here in the Caldervalley it is the most beautiful place.

Neighbourhood
If music is your thing there are three great music venues nearby .
The Golden Lion ( 3 miles )
The Trades Club ( 5 Miles )
The Piece Hall ( 15 Miles )
Wild Swimming ? Downhill Mountain Biking? Hiking ? All of these are available and popular . Looks at Gaddings Dam ( the highest beach in England). Or Havoc Bike Park which won’t require you to drive as it is less than a mile away. Finally the footpaths around the Calder valley are stunning. There are STEEP hills to climb and then you are on top or the world.
Getting around
A car is advisable . We are on a bus route and there is a train station in Todmorden however I would say a use of car will make your stay easier !

We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
Rear garden path looking it’s best in spring. I have two small ponds with frogs and newts. I can spend along time looking into them.
Gaddings dam is hugely popular on sunny days. The highest beach in England and a favourite with outdoor swimmers . There is a STEEP walk to get reach it though !
Eagles Crag can be reached in foot from
the house . Steeped in local folk lore it is not for the faint hearted ( or anyone with a fear of heights) however at its base is the Staff Of Life public house that will always offer a warm welcome and fabulous food and drink !
