Neighbourhood
You'll likely rarely see a neighbor, especially in warmer months when the trees are full. People do drive fast down the DIRT roads, which are not always well-maintained. Snow is usually plowed in a timely fashion but the potholes are plentiful.
Nearest airport
If you fly into the area, expect a 1.5hr drive north from DTW or a shorter drive from Flint, but DTW is a major international Airport (the longest concourse in North America).
Getting around
We are quite isolated from shops, grocery, restaurants. Most are a 20minute car ride. You will need to bring a car, we don't have one to lend. The towns here are small but there are a few restaurants near the lake, and some convenience stores. There are plenty of various stores in the city as you pass through to arrive.
