A Nature Lover's Haven Stepping out your back door you can access a trail down to the Rivanna River and the flood plain. There are scenic trails that meander alongside the river for those who want to go on a hike without getting in a car. Unforgettable Scenic Moments As the sun sets, find your favorite spot on the spacious deck and prepare to be mesmerized. The sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors, with a magical glow over the mountains. A Wildlife Paradise The front porch welcomes you with an enclosed garden. Watch as deer gracefully roam, rabbits hop by, and colorful birds flit through the air, all in harmony with nature. Small City life, Wine scene and Music venues Charlottesville is a bustling university town home to the University of Virginia. The many activities at the University are available to the public with music concerts and educational events. Wine Charlottesville, Virginia, is home to over 40 wineries along the Monticello Wine Trail, making it a prominent destination for wine enthusiasts. This vibrant wine scene features a diverse array of vineyards, each offering unique wines and experiences amidst the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Space

Our home is designed to embrace spaciousness and natural light. Each room is thoughtfully positioned to maximize the view of the BRM stunning vistas, creating a harmonious blend of indoor comfort and outdoor beauty. Interior Features Great Room The expansive great room serves as the heart of the home, featuring a cozy fireplace and large sliding doors that frame spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This inviting space is ideal for both relaxation and entertainment. Entertainment Room Adjacent to the great room, the entertainment area provides ample seating for five, making it perfect for gatherings or movie nights. Bedrooms Each bedroom is generously sized and equipped with its own en-suite bathroom, ensuring privacy and convenience for all residents and guests. The 2 bedrooms are both upstairs and are spacious and have special views of the mountains with build in window seats for reading and relaxing. There is an additional twin bed in the hallway with privacy curtains. Kitchen The well-appointed kitchen features modern appliances and a stylish sitting bar along the periphery, facilitating a place for casual dining. Dining Room Bathed in natural light, the dining room offers an inviting atmosphere complemented by views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Laundry room Conveniently located off the kitchen, the laundry room is designed to provide an efficient and functional space for managing household tasks. Access to Garage: The laundry room also offers direct access to the garage, enhancing convenience for bringing in groceries or other items while keeping the main living areas organized. We genuinely hope that our home offers you the same enriching experience we cherish daily. Inspiring Views: The breathtaking vistas serve as a constant reminder of nature's grandeur, encouraging moments of reflection and mindfulness. Guest Access

There are 2 floors . The second floor houses the 2 spacious bedrooms and the first floor contains the master suite which is private but can be part of an exchange for a larger group. The two bedrooms upstairs and the twin bed in the hallway are always available to guests. You can access the home from the front door or the garage.

Notes

If you use the whole house while we are gone we would prefer a Globe or Pluto. Sim and non-sim exchanges will work if your location is of interest to us. Travel groups are limited to five adults but we can host additional children if they share a room with their parents. We have some kid-size floor mattresses. We can offer a hospitality stay for two people. Your private space will be the blue room suite upstairs which has an attached bathroom, refrigerator, TV and microwave. We have two separate studio apartments that are rented out. They are completely separated from the house with their own entrance. No worries about privacy here. If you don’t want to clean yourself you have the option to pay a cleaning fee of $150. If you come for a hospitality stay please clean your room before leaving. We ask all guests to put used linen and towels in a laundry bin that is provided.

This combination of spacious living and natural beauty contributes to a desirable living experience in this picturesque neighborhood.

Getting to my home

We are located 4 miles from downtown Charlottesville and 5 miles from the University of Virginia. We are in the back part of a subdivision called Key West. The outskirts of Richmond Va are within a 1 hour drive; Washington DC is 2 hours away.

Getting Around

You will need a car to get to most places but you can also use Uber which is readily available.
