General Overview

Our home is located in Calgary, AB. Calgary is most famously known for "The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth", otherwise known as the Calgary Stampede. The stampede takes place the beginning of July and lasts 10 days. Aside from the stampede Calgary has a lot to offer. Lots of great restaurants, breweries, green spaces with walking and biking paths. The rocky mountains including Banff National Park, and Canmore with endless hiking and biking trails are only an hour away. Explore the dinosaurs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, a 1 hour 40 minute drive from the house. Or one of my favourites, Dinosaur Provincial Park, a 2 hour 20 minute drive.

The Space

Our home has been recently renovated and is a lovely, bright space. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom with walk in closet. Two bedrooms with twin beds, one has a bunkbed, perfect for kids! The main living area includes Kitchen, dining room and living room with a gas fireplace. Bathrooms are one floor down and one floor up. There is a work/craft space one level down from the living area, and in the basement you'll find the tv which offers netflix, and a play area for kids. We have two overly friendly cats and a gecko that would need minding.

Guest Access

To access the house there are about five steps to the front door. Our house is a split level house and has lots of (short)stairs, there are five levels.

Neighbourhood

Our house is down the street from two playgrounds with a third a short walk away. Glenmore reservoir offers running trails, bike paths, and boat rentals, and is located only a few km's away, with more parks along the way! Within walking distance of groceries, restaurants, local breweries, coffee shops, and a library. Depending on season there is cross country skiing and outdoor skating.

Calgary international airport is 20kms away by car

Getting Around

Many shops are located within walking distance. The LRT is about a 4km walk and will take you to many parts of the city. We're located about an hour from Banff, and the beautiful Rocky Mountains. If you're going to do any day trip's a vehicle is handy to have.
