General overview

We live in a contemporary, luxury 5 bed 5 bath home in a beautiful part of Dublin called Monkstown. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Dart and a 5 minute walk to the beautiful village of Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire. Both are full of great restaurants and shops. We are also a 10 minute walk to the sea. and the famous sea swimming spot of Seapoint. Our house has a separate “cinema room”/ self contained bathroom/ kitchen etc. no expense has been spared on our new house, which was just finished this summer.

The space

The main house has 4 bedrooms, all ensuite, two with walk in wardrobes. There is a library/ TV room at the front of the house and a very spacious TV (75 inch) /dining/ kitchen area perfect for entertaining. The Siematic kitchen has got everything a foodie would need to cook and there are dining tables inside and outside that fit 10 comfortably. Wired WIFI and a Sonos in ceiling speaker system in all bathrooms and sitting areas are great for music lovers. Out back is a huge deck area which includes a fire pit, dining area and seating area. Watch the sunset from the deck or from the master bedroom, which has great views of the ocean and the Dublin mountains . There is a separate garden room, perfect for 2 guests - this has a separate entrance, WIFI, a 75 inch TV, bathroom with rainshower, fridge, microwave and a deck upon which to enjoy your coffee in the morning sun.

Guest access

The house is not suitable for wheelchair users unfortunately due to the number of stairs.

Neighbourhood

We live in one of the best neighborhoods in Dublin - we are short walk to the amazing restaurants, bars, and boutiques of the village of Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire. Our favorite walks include the Dun Laoghaire Pier (great for people watching), the 40 foot bathing area (visited by many famous people and featuring in several tv show and movies) . As foodies we are spoiled for choice within a short walk of our house, with cafes, great Italian, seafood gastropubs, Asian and French restaurants to choose from. We love to be on the "Dart" line, a train which is a 10 minute walk from home and from which we can get into Dublin City Centre in 17 minutes, the seaside town of Howth (45 minutes), Malahide Castle (50 minutes), Greystones and Bray, to name just a few.

Getting to my home

Our house can be reached from Dublin airport by taxi (30-50 minute drive depending on traffic), the Aircoach bus (50 minutes) or a bus/train combo (60 minutes)

Nearest airport

Dublin airport is 17 km away.

Getting around

You can walk to many shops and restaurants in both Monkstown and Dun Laoghaire. Within a 10 minute walk is a cinema, a grocery store (Tesco and Avoca), great restaurants, pubs, cafes. If you want to go further afield we are a 10 minute walk to the Dart, a frequent train service which goes straight into Dublin city centre (17 minutes) or further afield to the seaside towns of Malahide, Howth, Bray, Greystones, Dalkey, Killiney, Sandymount, Blackrock and many more - all worth a visit!
