General Overview

This is our secondary home and we are normally in the house during swedish schoolbreaks. The house is available for non-simultaneous exchanges when we are not there. We can also do a simultaneous exchange when our kids are not in school ä. Typically week nr 8, the week after Easter, from 24th of June to 10th of August, week 44 and sometimes between 23rd of December to 7th of January. Malmö is 1 hour and 15 min by car. Copenhagen is 1 hour and 45 minutes by car. Gothenburg is two hours by car. The train to these cities is leaving from either Båstad or Ängelholm train stations about 15-20 minutes by car from us.

The Space

The ceiling height in the room where kitchen and living room are located gives you a special feeling of volume. The ceiling has acoustic boards which reduces the eco and this room is comfortable also with several children in it. There is one master bedroom with two 90 cm beds in it. This is normally where the parents in a family sleeps. The view from this window is towards our summer meadow sparkling with color. Behind the meadow there are usually cows to add on this beatuful scenery. The other three bedrooms are slightly smaller and one of them has a bunk bed. The bunk bed is 80cm wide and the other two beds 90cm wide. We dont have very much paintings or other decorations on the walls because we havent had time for this yet. This house was built on a pasture with cows. Because of this we dont have any trees ecept the ones we have newly planted. They are very small and we also dont have any large hedge (yet) that block people from looking into the garden. While the garden is very young we have focused on planting a meadow and have sparkling colors from flowers like poppy, diasies, cornflower etc. Feel free to pick flowers during your stay. In the garden, opposite of the front door, we have many herbs growing that you are welcome to use for cooking.

Guest Access

This house is on one level only. To enter the house you must take on step on a stair. Its not prepared for wheel chair unfortunately.

Notes

A cat lives in our place when we are there if you might be allergic to cats. We have two adult bikes available for you. They are not super comfortable and more intended for shorter trips up to 2-3 km.

Neighbourhood

Walking down to the beach several times per day to swim, bring a lunch or breakfeast and just enjoy. Our home is very new, built in 2023, see pictures for standards. 5 minutes walk to padel and tennis court. Bjärehalvön, the larger area, is known as "Swedens Toscany" with amazing nature. Read more here! https://bastad.com/en Visit any of the several small shops, art galleries, farms shops and restaurants. In Båstad, 8km away, you can find clubbing, SPA and many more things. Many golf courses in the area too, cycling, adventures and much more. Visit https://bastad.com/ to get an overview. There are many food experiences as well to try out, our favorites is having an ice cream in the village Torekov watching the sea and the boats.

Getting to my home

You come to our place easiest by car. Its necessary to go by car from train station or the airport as well as when you need to buy groceries.

Getting Around

Normally you need a car to get around and buy groceries but also to visit the region. Cycling is also very enjoyable in this region. Our primary home is located two hours away from this place. However, family members live next door for any emergencies that need attention on site.
