The home is a spacious, well-lit, modern unit built in 2003, with lofted and raised ceilings throughout. The living room, kitchen, dining room and one bathroom are downstairs. Upstairs is the master bedroom, second bathroom, laundry room and a third bedroom/office. There is radiant floor heating on both floors, controlled by a thermostat on each floor. The kitchen is well-stocked with every appliance you can think of - Instant Pot, slow cooker, blender, mixer, food processor, ice cream maker, electric coffee percolator, coffee grinders, dehydrator, bread maker, and even a cotton candy maker! You are welcome to use anything in the kitchen including food and spices. The home is also equipped with four high quality air purifiers and a reverse osmosis water filter under the kitchen sink.
We homeschooled during Covid and have enough kids toys and books to keep any child happy and engaged. We especially like wooden Waldorf and Montessori toys, science-based toys and art supplies :-) Your children are welcome to play with anything here.
We have several adult and kids bikes you can borrow, including a cargo bike that seats 2-3 children and one adult. Before we got a second car, I used to called the cargo bike our second car :-)
We also have two cars that would be available for exchange so long as we figure out insurance coverage. We first is a 2022 Rav4 hybrid and the second is a 2023 Kona EV.
We live in an intentional cohousing community called Yulupa Cohousing. You may read about us here:

and about cohousing here:

Living in cohousing means we have very friendly, caring neighbors and enjoy some shared resources. As our HomeExchange guest, you would have access to the following community amenities: EV charging stations, fruit orchards, exercise room, library and TV room, kids play room, keyboard, ping-pong table and table soccer in the community house.
Our unit is located in the back of the property and is very quiet. The units are also well-insulated and we never here our next door neighbors.
We are a 3 minute walk to Whole Foods, a natural and organic grocery store. There are several neighborhood parks, and nearby farmers markets. We are a 7 minute bike ride to Montgomery Village and a 15 minute bike ride to Downtown Santa Rosa, where you will find great restaurants, trendy shops, amenities and community theater. Downtown SR has a light rail stop that connects to most cities in Sonoma and Marin Counties. Santa Rosa has a great Children's Museum and the Charlie Brown Museum (Charles Schultz lived most of his life in SR).
Our region has so much to offer: world class wineries, great hiking, a breathtaking coastline, old growth redwoods, proximity to San Francisco (50 minute drive).
Happy to meet folks traveling in the area for coffee or a playdate with our kids.
