Pembrokeshire is the UK's only coastal National Park, lapped by sea on three sides, and includes miles of world renowned beaches and small towns & villages regularly voted the most beautiful in the country.
The space
Our home is a modern, spacious & luxurious home perched above the 3 mile golden sands of blue flag Newgale Beach. Newgale is a haven for all those that love the outdoors - with watersports (surfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding & kayaking etc) and miles of walking and biking on your doorstep.
You enter the house on the middle floor with open plan kitchen and dining room, where we have recently installed large sliding doors which offer breathtaking sea views and create a seamless transition between the indoors & outdoors. It opens onto a wrap around balcony where we have a table and chairs for morning coffee and evening sundowners. On this floor there is also conservatory we have converted in a playroom / toy store :) and a family bathroom.
On the bottom floor is a working space with two desks, a utility room (with a washing machine and tumble drier) and two more spacious bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms. One is a king and the other is our children's bedroom with a single bed & a wooden cot. From the rooms on this floor, you can step out of the French doors into the landscaped garden.
Upstairs on the top floor are two further bedrooms, one sleeps 4 (double & 2 twins), and the other 2 (king), and both have ensuite w.c.
Access to the beach is on an off-road track (5m of curb-side road to reach the track) and you can be on the sand in less than 4 minutes! We have plenty of kids beach toys that you would be welcome to use during your stay.
Notes
The house is our family home but we also let it out as a holiday let over the peak summer season [when unfortunately it is unavailable for swaps]. We also have our little sister property, The Hide, which is a holiday let all year round in the bottom of the garden and The Hide guests will have access through the garden. However, other than this access, the garden is for the sole use of of our home. There are two parking spaces available.
Our little boy is just starting school so we are more restricted to UK school holidays. However we are also open to weekend breaks in the UK.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if more details would be helpful.

Neighbourhood
A pub, cafe and shop, as well as the 3 mile beach and coastal path are all within walking distance. The beach is dog friendly all year round, with some slight restrictions in the spring / summer months.
The picturesque villages of Solva (5 mins) & Little Haven (15 mins) are a short drive away. The smallest city in the UK St Davids is a 15 minute drive with its Cathedral and lovely cafes and shops. Tenby, Saundersfoot and Newport Pembrokeshire & Cardigan are just a little bit further. A number of local islands are RSBP reserves and there are some great boat trips locally that can offer wildlife sighting.
The best ice cream in Pembrokeshire is a 2 minute drive [or 45 mins coastal walk] directly from the farm where they milk the cows.
Pembrokeshire offers heaps of activities for all ages - from coastal activities like walking the coast path, surfing and coastering and lots of cozy pubs. There are also activities away from the coast like horseriding & having a relaxing day at the spa. There are tons of family activities nearby including Folly Farm & Manor Park Wildlife Farm.
Tom and I both grew up in Pembrokeshire and, after spending 10 years in London, have returned to the county to bring up our family. We love the area and are pleased to share our recommendations with you.
Getting to my home
The nearest airports are Cardiff (2hrs) & Bristol (2.5hrs). Heathrow (4hrs), Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester are slightly further.
Its a very rural location, but definitely worth the effort. Its incredibly peaceful with breath taking natural beauty - it also means that you can escape the crowds and we have so many beaches you can always find one to yourself.
Getting around
You can walk to the pub and beach-side shop/cafe, but otherwise you will need to drive. A car is essential to be able to properly explore Pembrokeshire as public transport is limited.
