We very much enjoyed our stay in Lillian and Grayson's townhouse. They greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour around their beautiful home, provided us with brochures of things to do in the area and contact information if needed, before heading off on their own adventure. The view of the basin from their balcony is beautiful. The walking paths beside the water are lovely and we enjoyed strolling along them both morning and evening. We were able to walk a short distance to a bus stop and ride into downtown Halifax to see the sights. We would highly recommend an exchange with Lillian and Grayson.
We very much enjoyed meeting Lillian and Grayson. They warmly welcomed us and kindly took the time to explain things and the area to us. Their home was lovely. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It has a beautiful waterfront location with a playground and walking path right in front of the building. A big shopping area with a grocery store is next to the community. Driving to downtown Halifax was easy. We loved our time in Halifax and highly recommend the hosts and their home.
We absolutely loved staying at Lillian and Grayson’s beautiful condo. They welcomed us and got us well acquainted with the home. The location is perfect- just across the street from the waterfront and park. My son really enjoyed the playground. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the night light in our son’s room, candies in a bowl and brochures on Halifax. Thank you Grayson and Lillian! We are so glad we met you!
Lillian and Grayson approached us for a few nights in our home after a cruise and we soon arranged an open-ended non-simultaneous exchange. Their plans changed and they were able to disembark in Victoria so I could meet them and overlap for one night. They were cheerful, easy to talk to and agreeable, and expressed flexibility about our eventual visit to their home. I was able to get advice on how to best spend our time when we visit and I feel confident that all subsequent arrangements will go smoothly. Our cleaner reported that Lillian and Grayson had left our house in good shape, and they expressed their appreciation with a number of gifts and messages. All-round lovely people and guests!
We so enjoyed meeting Lilian and Grayson and having them stay in our home. They are great company. We enjoyed swapping stories and playing card games together. Such lovely considerate guests who looked after our home very well. We were able to show them some sights and also leave them to enjoy themselves out and about in Sydney. Bon voyage and we hope to see you again!
I had the pleasure of hosting top notch guests Grayson and Lillian at my beach cottage on the Gold Coast for 10 days, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They were polite, respectful, and an absolute delight to communicate with. Not only did they leave my home in immaculate condition, but they also took the time to water the plants and care for the house, including the spa and gardens. Their thoughtfulness and genuine nature truly stood out, and I felt completely at ease knowing my home was in their capable hands. They are exactly the kind of people anyone would be happy to have stay and trust with their home. And I would delightfully and wholeheartedly welcome them back!!! We highly recommend an home exchange experience with Grayson and Lillian!
It was an absolute pleasure to have Lillian and Grayson stay in my home. They had visited Perth several times in the past and on this occasion, they were keen to be close to public transport which made it easy for them to explore the city and beyond. We were amazed at how many places they got to, including Rottnest Island, Fremantle, local beaches, shopping centres and so much more. Public transport aficionados for sure!!
Communication with Lillian and Grayson over WhatsApp prior to their visit and emails before, during and after meant that we felt very comfortable with each other throughout the whole process.
They were quiet and respectful (because Janis' home is so close to mine, this is important) and I arrived home to the most beautiful touches- fresh flowers which I love, a delicious loaf of bread and some yummy goodies which I was so grateful for. Lillian and Grayson left my home in immaculate condition which was so much appreciated.
We hope you have a wonderful trip to Brisbane and beyond and that your cruise is amazing. THANK YOU from us both and we hope to meet you again in WA down the track.
Julie and Janis
We just stayed 4 nights in this lovely home in a beautiful heritage area of Victoria. We would love to have had more time to explore this beautiful city, We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront walking trail and spent time walking around beacon Hill Park and the inner harbour.. This home has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, and luxurious bedroom with full ensuite. Although it was early May, the gardens were in full bloom.
Robin could not have been more welcoming. She kindly picked us up from the cruise dock when we arrived and had a lovely lunch complete with home made bread ready to serve us. Robin and took us for a short drive to make us comfortable with the EV before she left.
There is everything an exchanger needs for finding their way around Vancouver Island with Maps and tourist brochures along with ideas and suggestions for ,things to see and places to go.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you Robin and Colin.
This home was everything you could possibly ask for in a home swap. Beautiful waterfront home in a secure building. Wonderful exchangers and easy to use public transportation to get around. Helen and Matt were the friendliest and kindest people. Their home was super clean and organized to give us space for all of our clothes and belongings. They picked us up and shared dinner with us when we arrived in Sydney. They checked on us regularly and offered helpful advice and even showed us some of their special favorite places. When we left, Helen came into the city to help us get to our cruise with all our luggage. We would love a return visit and would be happy to have them come to our home.
Thank you Lillian and Grayson, we so enjoyed having you and becoming good PLU friends together 😊 We will work on Halifax 🤞🏻
We had a lovely 10 days on the Gold Coast while staying in Genny’s home. She made us feel very welcome and left lovely treats of wine and cheeses. Genny was available throughout our stay to answer any of our questions or concerns. We really enjoyed her lovely tropical garden and decks. The therapeutic spa was the icing on the cake. Genny left maps and tourist information that was very helpful. We made good use of the public transportation and found we could get to beaches and shopping centers within one hour by either the train or the bus.
We loved our time in Perth and Julie’s home was just perfect for us. Julie was kind enough to meet us at the airport and bring us to her home and walked us through. We arrived late in the evening and Julie had left us everything we needed for a late night snack and everything we needed breakfast included a delicious loaf of fresh home baked bread. A beautiful vase of Lillies was an added touch. The home was clean, tidy, comfy and secure. We loved the little garden with fountain to relax in. We loved the luxurious, comfy bed. We loved the ease of walking to the light rail across the road. We were able to get everywhere we needed to go in and around Perth. We love Perth. It is a beautiful city and we found the people warm,, friendly and helpful. Janis came for a visit and was a wealth of information about places we wanted to get to and things we would like to see. Thanks for a lovely exchange. Would love to come back.
Lillian and Grayson.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. You'd be welcome anytime 😀
We enjoyed meeting Nancy and Robbie who had travelled by car from Quebec. We explained that we would be staying in the area as we had meetings and “meet ups” and medical appointments while they were in our home. We are fortunate enough to have other accommodations but they very kindly invited us to come and use our home any time we needed during their stay. We returned home after their stay to a spotless and tidy condo. Nancy and Robbie would be welcome in Our home at any time and we will certainly enjoy the lovely Quebec Maple Syrup they left for us.
We enjoyed meeting Tuugi and her lovely family and welcomed them to our home in Bedford, Nova Scotia. They were excited to visit the Halifax area and showed much appreciation for our welcome and orientation. On returning home to our condo, we found everything absolutely spotless and as if no one had ever been in our home except for the lovely freshly pie they had left o. The kitchen table. We would highly recommend this family to other exchangers.
We enjoyed meeting this lovely couple and their delightful 8 year old son, James. They were easy to communicate with and we kept in touch prior to their arrival and during their time in our home. When we returned home, everything was left spotless and tidy with a lovely Thank you note on the table. We look forward to meeting up again in Nelson.
