Neighbourhood
The apartment is located in the most central area of the city, walking distance from the main sights of Budapest and yet in a very nice and peaceful neighborhood: the flat is right next to a park and 3 minutes walking distance from the Danube and the Hungarian Parliament.
You can enjoy the ambient of the 5th district with it's gorgeous buildings and parks, walk around the astonishing Parliament building and the St. Stephen Basilica or look at the amazing view of the Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge stretching over the Danube.
Getting to my home
The airport is about 50 mins with public transport or 35 by taxi or by car.
All international train stations (Keleti, Nyugati and Déli) is reachable in 10-25 minutes by public transport and 5-20 minutes by taxi.
International bus station (Népliget) is about 30 mins with public transport or 20 minutes by taxi.
Nearest airport
Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport
Getting around
The apartment is indeed located in the most central area of the city, so you can easily walk to many important sights (Parliament, St Stephen Basilica, Jewish district, etc.) and to lovely cafes, restaurants.
Public transportation is also perfect: it's next to several central tram, bus and metro lines.
In just few minutes walk you can get into the buzz of downtown Budapest with it's outstanding restaurants, cafes, wine bars, craft beer pubs and clubs.
If you are open for it, my personal recommendation would be to rent a bike or grab a public bike (fleet of ~2500 bikes, covering most important parts of Budapest), the station is just 150 meter from the apartment.

We are a family with two daughters (6 and 3-year old). I run a family-owned language school in Budapest and my husband, Bence works at the Centre for Budapest Transport. We love to travel, explore new cultures, eat well and we are keen to show the world to our girls.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
