Neighbourhood
We are in downtown Delray Beach, two blocks from Atlantic Avenue ("the Ave") with shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, music venues, museums... We are also walking distance to Delray's main public beach, which was recently designated a blue flag beach.
Our residential neighborhood, Osceola Park, is artsy and friendly, and hosts annual neighborhood gathersing, such as the Mango Fest (the area used to be a Mango Grove) and Art in the Alley (where we paint panels that are hung on the fences to beautify our alleys.

Susan & Doug
Originally from the Washington, DC area, now empty-nesters of two globe-trotting sons and living near the beach in sunny Florida, Doug and Susan met in 7th grade band, fell in love at Jazz Fest in New Orleans, and taught their kids to embrace life. Both have traveled to all 50 states in the US.
When the kids were young, we lived in the Costa Rican jungle, traveled throughout South America and Southeast Asia during a family sabbatical, and moved to Santiago, Chile. The boys attended United World College (UWC) - Carter in Changshu, China; Quinn near Pune, India. Carter studied Mandarin in Shanghai, China, attended Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, was Fulbright teaching assistant in Taipei, Taiwan, and for 2024-2025 will be an English teacher at Futuro Verde in Costa Rica. Quinn graduated from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and is traveling through Latin America this year (currently working on a farm through World Packers).
