General overview

Our villa, built around 1940, provides a comfortable haven near Stockholm city, situated in the suburbs. The backyard is embraced by a forest, creating a quiet retreat surrounded by trees - a simple, hidden gem.

The space

Generously sized rooms, a spacious common area with sofa and TV, fireplace and a dining table accommodating up to 10 people. A pleasant, well equiped kitchen with a 4-person table. The three bedrooms include two with double beds and one designed as a kid's room with two single beds. Enjoy a spacious terrace facing south, a big second terrass (equiped with one of the neighbourhoods biggest BBQ - we are foodies) that face a vast backyard, where squirrels jump around in the trees and roe deer pass by from time to time. The house features a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, and an additional shower in the basement. The basement also hosts amenities like washing machine and a garage for added convenience.

Guest access

The main floor features a common room, kitchen, and WC. Ascending a few steps reveals two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an office. Additional stairs lead to the third bedroom.

Notes

We settled into this house in October 2022 and are gradually renovating and personalizing it. We trust that you will cherish and maintain it as much as we do!

Neighbourhood

Calm friendly area. Spring in Stockholm is a captivating time to explore the city's charms. The arrival of spring transforms the cityscape into a colorful spectacle, with cherry blossoms adorning parks and streets. One of the must-visit places is Gamla Stan, Stockholm's historic Old Town, where narrow cobblestone streets take on a new charm amidst blooming flowers. The archipelago, a defining feature of Stockholm, becomes even more enchanting in spring. Milder temperatures make it an ideal season to embark on boat tours, discovering the beauty of the islands without the chill of winter winds. You can experience the unique archipelago culture, enjoy local seafood, and relish the serene coastal landscapes. Spring also opens up a myriad of outdoor activities. Djurgården, a green oasis in the heart of the city, beckons with its lush landscapes and picturesque walking paths. Rent a bike and pedal along the waterfront, or simply relax with a picnic surrounded by blossoming nature. Cultural enthusiasts will appreciate the springtime events and festivals that emerge, celebrating everything from art and music to food. The city's museums, such as the Vasa Museum and ABBA The Museum, offer immersive experiences that blend history and entertainment. In essence, visiting Stockholm in spring offers a delightful mix of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and outdoor adventures, making it a season to savor the city's diverse offerings.
