General overview

I live in a recently renovated apartment in West Berlin, in a neighbourhood next to the historical Tempelhof airport which has been converted to a park. I am located within the Ringbahn circular S-Bahn track, with easy connections all over Berlin by S-Bahn, U-Bahn and bus. I can work remotely so the fact that this is my primary home does not mean I'm not flexible, while the next half of 2024 is quite busy for me, 2025 is very open. I'm also open to hospitality and love meeting people from around the world. My apartment has a modern kitchen and I love to cook so it'll have almost everything you need. It also has comfortable living spaces. Sudkreuz (one of the 3 major trains stations): 7 minutes walk Tempelhofer Feld Park: 10 minutes walk Berlin Central Station: 15 minutes public transport (direct) Brandenburger Gate: 15 minutes public transport (direct) Schöneberg (the gay centre of Berlin): 20 minute bus Messe Berlin (exhibition grounds): 30 minutes public transport (direct) Colombiahalle (concerts): 15 minutes bus or 30 minutes walk

Neighbourhood

Neu-Tempelhof is a peaceful, centrally located neighbourhood in Berlin, ideal for enjoying a quiet retreat while staying connected to the city's vibrant culture. Excellent public transport links provide quick access to downtown and major attractions. There are many supermarkets located nearby, including a supermarket open on a Sunday (this is rare in Germany). Historically, the area was home to pilots when Tempelhof Airport was in operation, which served as a crucial hub during the Berlin Airlift and continued to be a key airport for commercial and military flights supporting West Berlin during the Cold War era. The airport was shut down in 2008 and has since been converted into a popular park where people can cycle, skate, picnic, and enjoy various activities in a unique urban setting.

Airport is a 45 minute train ride away, Central station is 15 minutes away.

Rebecca

I'm a New Zealander living in Berlin. I've lived in Germany for about 5 years. I speak English, German, French and Spanish fluently and grew up in a very international environment. I'm working in a startup right now and I can work remotely. I started using PLU thanks to my mum who is also a member and who has some of her properties in NZ listed.
