General overview
Our beautiful home is nestled on 5 picturesque acres in a green valley 15 minutes drive to pristine beaches. We have dams, a Mediterranean style courtyard with swimming pool, chickens for fresh eggs and baby bunnies. We have a dog, but would arrange for puppy sitting or possibly bring in a housekeeper in the granny flat to take care of the animals so they aren’t a hassle. The property has extensive vegetable gardens, flowers and fruit trees. The living room has a Large stone fireplace, we also have an outdoor firepit. We have installed both ceiling fans and ducted heating/cooling throughout the house. Our home has security, including an electric front gate, wifi and filtered tank rainwater water. Our home is large and spacious with a grand piano room/library space and the use of a guitar also. We have three sons, currently 20, 14 and 12. They are very well travelled and respectful. Our eldest son no longer lives at home and rarely travels with us due to work commitments. We can leave out toys, board games and sports equipment including bikes, skateboards, scooters and paddle boards for any visiting children and we have tv subscriptions such as Netflix.
The space
We have 3 extra large bedrooms, master with ensuite and a 4th smaller room that is my art room but could be converted into another single bedroom. All bedrooms and the main living room have fans as well as the entire house having ducted heating /air conditioning, though it is rarely needed in Summer due to the breezes in our valley. The outside entertainment courtyard is very large and is currently being renovated but will have an outdoor kitchen, dining and lounge with a cedar sauna and ice bath. I’ll add photos once complete. The outdoor courtyard Lounge and the deck have large fans and we have surround sound for music and movie entertainment. We do have a granny flat space that is currently a playroom/gym but may be tenanted to provide a housekeeper while we are away to take care of the animals and the lawns.
Guest access
We have a security gated long concrete driveway . The concrete is flat and leads directly to the front door. The inside of our home is one story polished concrete. I’m unsure of the necessity hallway widths for all wheelchairs but if needed we can check this.
Notes
We are willing to provide hospitality if we can for short stays and have completed a home exchange with a Canadian family on another site who we have remained friends with and we very much enjoy making friends around the world.

Neighbourhood
We live in a coastal rural location a 15-45 minute drive to beaches depending on which one you chose to go to. The Gold Coast airport is a 15 minute drive. And we have rainforests, Gold Coast theme parks, Byron Bay, and more amazing surf beaches all within 1 hours drive.
Our suburb is small to large acreage with farmland, horse properties.. here you can enjoy quiet breezey evenings, take a bath on the deck, swim, bbq and in winter enjoy the fireplace inside or the outside fire pit. We have bikes that can ridden out along the farmland or popped onto the car on a bike rack for enjoying the beachfront bike paths. There are beautiful restaurants in the area, Husk Gin Distillery and several local farms where the children can feed farm animals such as Hosannah Farm Stay. We are also only 25 minutes to the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary where children can feed kangaroos and Rainbow lorikeets.
We have many excellent local fishing spots all within short driving distances.
Getting to my home
The Gold Coast airport is approx 15-20 minutes drive away. A car is needed where we live. A vehicle exchange is something we might consider if reciprocal.

There is a local supermarket approximately 8 minutes drive away with a bakery, bottle shop, cafe and butcher. Larger Supermarket are 15-20 minutes drive away.
Public transport isn’t great here. A car is necessary.

Hi! We are the Williams Family. A family of 5, but 4 travellers as our eldest has flown the coop. We are a well traveled, and respectful guests. Our home is in Northern NSW in Australia. We are 15 minutes from the Gold Coast airport and gorgeous beaches. 50 minutes to Byron Bay and 39 minutes to stunning rainforests. My husband is a builder and paramedic. I’m a primary school teacher and artist. Our boys are 12 and 14.
We are heading to Europe in august of 2024 and looking at possible exchanges for the months of August to Dec 2024.
We have exchanged on another platform and are still Facebook friends with the family.
