Beautifully renovated 3 bedroom home with private back yard, covered BBQ area and spa.

Guest Access

Access to the property is via electronic PIN code pad. A discrete code is issued for each home stay. It is a single floor dwelling with 1 step access from the covered carport with electric gate. House has been modified to suit the elderly or people with mobility issues. The two showers are full walk in, both with non-slip surfaces.

Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs due to narrow internal doorways to access bedrooms.

We live in a quiet suburb 15km north of Melbourne CBD. Moonee Ponds Creek Trail is a beautiful walking/bike trail that will take you southbound all the way into Melbourne city.

Consistently voted as one of the top cities of the world, Melbourne has much to offer. 

Often lauded as Australia's heart of culture, Melbourne's attractions include sporting events, art galleries, live music, festivals and fashion events that are popular with tourists and locals alike.

Renowned for its world class coffee, European style alfresco dining, laneway art, hidden bars, festivals and multiple live entertainment options, Melbourne has something for everyone. 

In January, the city is home to the Australian Open, one of only 4 tennis Grand Slams.

The race that stops a nation, the Melbourne Cup, is held at the famous Flemington Race Course on the first Tuesday in November in the middle of a massive week of festivities during the Spring Racing Carnival.

At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australian Rules Football is on show between March and October, with international cricket being played in the summer months.

Melbourne is also quintessentially “wine country” - it’s home to 21 remarkable wine regions, including the prestigious Yarra Valley, the charming Mornington Peninsula and the rugged Grampians.

Within 15 minutes of our home there are multiple options for fine dining, wine bars, great shopping and cosy cafes at a number of different surrounding suburbs.

Getting to my home

If arriving by air a 15 minute car ride has you at our home. There are Uber and taxi options from the airport. If we are home we will gladly pick you up.

Getting Around

Two train stations within 1.5km. Trains take you directly into Melbourne city in 30 minutes. You will have the use of our car for short day trips.

Marita and Andrew were wonderful hosts. This experience could not have been better for us. They opened their home to us to ensure our stay enroute through Melbourne was secure (for our fully loaded car) and a comfortable stay for us. While we all had plans that took us away from the house while we were there, we had a lovely afternoon sharing some food and drinks and stories of life and travels with lots of laughs and a the warmth of a family home. We would love for Andrew and Martia to spend time in our home any time they choose.

My family of five and I stayed at Andrew and Marita’s home while they stayed at ours on the Gold Coast. Their home was exactly as described and had all the extra bells and whistles, making for a truly relaxing holiday. The house was extremely clean, easy to navigate, and very comfortable — the spa was an added bonus and thoroughly enjoyed. Communication was excellent from start to finish. My husband and I met Andrew and Marita the day prior, and they were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel completely at ease as it was our first exchange. During our stay, communication was minimal but always available when needed, which we appreciated. When we returned home, our house was in perfect condition. Andrew and Marita were respectful, reliable, and wonderful to exchange homes with. We would happily recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to swap again.
