General overview
A substantial late Victorian house arranged over three floors
The space
Guests will have access to the whole house apart from our bedroom. On the ground floor is a comfortable living room with smart TV and stereo. A hall leads to a dining room with original fireplace, newly refurbished kitchen equipped with everything you could need and a shower / utility room with a washer-dryer. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom on the top floor, a family bathroom and a study on the first floor. Outside, accessed from the dining room, is a small yard with flowering plants, a bistro table and a BBQ.
Guest access
Guest bedrooms are on the top floor so lots of stairs.
Notes
Free on-street parking for one car is available in a quiet square behind the house.

Neighbourhood
Penrith is a lively town with a large number of good restaurants and bars all within walking distance of the house. It is on the edge of the famous Lake District national park with easy access to numerous lakes and hills for walks of all levels.
For parkrunners: as well as Penrith which you can walk to in around 25 minutes, we have Carlisle, Talkin Tarn and Keswick all within 30 minutes by car. Slightly further but still do-able are Whinlatter, Rothay Park, Ford, Fell Foot, Bower Park, Workington, Maryport
Getting to my home
The house is less than 10 minutes walk from the railway station with direct transport links to London, Carlisle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, etc. Frequent bus services to Lake District towns such as Keswick and Windermere
Nearest airport
Nearest airports are Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester, 2-3 hours away by public transport
Getting around
Within 5 minutes walk from the house you will find Penrith's main shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants
