We love our home. It is imbued with our personal touch. It's simple and homey and its special to us because the walls and the pictures and the books and the miniatures and the plants reflect and echo our experiences, our memories, our loves and interests.
Its also special because it is close, walking distance to everything interesting and inspiring in Jerusalem:
. The aprt. is a corner aprt, so there are 3 wind directions. There is a sweet balcony and in covid times I opened it with a lovely wooden staircase leading to a a wildish garden- yard place where one can sit and dine or barbique if one chooses so.
I can leave you my car and you can travel to the Dead See- one of the unique marvells of the world! The lowest place in the entire world! (1 hour drive). Same amount of time can get you to Tel Aviv - the non-stop city (really!)
The space
Aprt.in cities In Israel are usually not very big. There is a living room combined with a dininig table. 2 bedrooms, Mine and my son's. A sweet balcony to drink coffee in the morning while watching to the humming birds feeds just next to you.

Neighbourhood
The neighnourhood itself is a lovely historical place with beautiful houses from Palestinian times in this area. A touristic attraction for many I sraelis. Close by: 15-20 minutes walk from the ancient part of Jerusalem- The Old City enclosed by a wall. It hostes the most important sites for Judaism, Christianity and Islam- The holy Sepulchre, the wailing wall, The temple Mount and so much more. It has a spectacular oriental Bazzarre alleys. It is a 6 min/ walk from th German Colony- shikky and historical neighbourood with its lovely cafes and shops. You can hop on a bus (8 min to bus station) and be in 5 minutes in the new center of Jerusalem and walk from there to the bustling jewish market. you can visit different galleris there. there is also a wonderful site - The Hansen House just 4 min. walk- once a Lepper's hospital and now an art institution, having a lovely bar and restaurant, And talking of good restaurants there quite a few in a walking distance. And at the same time my home is situated in a quiet street so you can rest your mind and process all these new vivid impressions.
